The AT-LP120 is the best budget TT for beginners. It ranges from 200-250 dollars on Amazon. You could probably find a better one used for a reasonable price as well.

They (children of bosom) get better, then worse, then better again. Their third album is pure gold, fourth is pretty good, fifth is okay, sixth is crap, seventh is okay, eighth is gold again, ninth is pretty good.

Look up the song “follow the reaper” for an example of them at Their best.

I’ll probably listen up to the forth. If I like them enough I will probably listen to the rest out of necessity.

Damn, I was hoping for one in the less than 100 dollar range so I’ll probably wait out to get a better one.

When it’s actually in stock, it’s a bit cheaper refurbished here: http://www.focuscamera.com/audio-technica-at-lp120-usb-direct-drive-professional-turntable-refurbished.html

If you’re looking to spend <$100, I would recommend staying away from anything new in that price range. They’re poor quality at best, and damaging at worst. Either buy vintage from craigslist, save up more money, or… don’t bother because it’s an expensive and admittedly silly hobby that you might just grow out of. 😃

I have that very record player. Bought it new on Amazon about 3 years ago (when it was still $300… Grrrr.). Its wonderful.

I’m lucky I have time to vet the best player within a reasonable price. Of all the unnecessary and expensive things I want it’s 3rd on my list behind a Japanese toilet and a replica Kylo Ren helmet.

Finally had a chance to give this a listen. On the first pass, I really enjoyed “I Will Be There” and “I Dreamed I Saw Saint Augustine.”

If you have never seen the British T.V. shows “Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace”, “Snuff Box”, “The IT Crowd” or “The Mighty Boosh”, seek them out now!

I tend to stick to the originals no matter what type of music I listen to. So much can go wrong with remasters. but not with video games though. Video game remasters are always good.

This is a joke right?

Yes, that specifically is a joke but other than a remaster that hasn’t even came out yet (and can be changed) what bad remasters are there?

EDIT:

Can’t say that about the Twilight Princess Remaster, can’t say that about the Wind Waker remaster and you can’t say that about the Gears of War or The Last of Us Remaster either.

Standing on the Verge of Getting It On - Funkadelic

Very great. I found myself humming the titular song so I thought I’d give the album a listen. I don’t regret it.

Not enough people read the EU.

I’m so confused. A band that brings the original lineup together after 22 years apart should not be able to make such a good album.

Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition

Subpar sure, but not really bad.

GTA: San Andreas

Wasn’t that initially for tablets then converted to systems? It was bound to suck.

Silent Hill HD

Fair enough

Age of Empires II HD

This doesn’t look or sound that bad to me.

AOEII HD wasn’t much different from the first. They changed a few textures (namely the fire, the water, the cliffs, and some UI bits) but those were all easily modded back to the originals with the workshop.

Still pretty much the same fun game.
