What 'a Star Wars Story' / anthology / spinoff film would you like to see? — Page 3

I like the idea of a laurel & hardy-esque type of film with darth icky and darth insanius bumbling their way through several nonsensical capers. This could be like the ultimate way of saying to GL “yes, we are shitting on your beloved films and yes, it was your idea”.

In the final act, something like THIS would go down at the very end 😃.

Luke threw twice…maybe.

It may not be a film, but I would like a live action T.V. show called “Star Wars Legends” or “The Legends Of Star Wars”. It will basically be about the old Non-Canon EU. Each season will be based on one book or game in the old EU, with the season’s title named after the book or game. Each season contains 10-15, 30 minute, episodes; and could be a show that is on Local Sations (i.e. ABC).

One day we will have properly restored versions of the Original Unaltered Trilogy (OUT); or 1977, 1980, 1983 Theatrical released versions (Like 4K77,4K80 and 4K83); including Prequels. So that future generations can enjoy these historic films that changed cinema forever.

I want to see the story of how Jar Jar got banished for being clumsy. 😃

I would like to see a film about the twelve members of the Jedi council arguing aboutbsomething fornthe whole film, called “12 Angry Jedi” Or perhaps a film set in between ROTS and ANH about drug dealing and corruption in Coruscant, with Elan Sleazbaggano as the main character.

Not enough people read the EU.

I’m glad this thread’s been bumped, 'cause I recently came up with a good idea for a very bizarre SW buddy comedy:

Ric & Jaxxon Go to Hologram Fun World

The rest writes itself.

I’d pay to see that. 😉

I want to see a movie where Nute Gunray gets cloned. That way we could get him to say “Now there are two of us!”.

A Kid in a Temple during Episode III: A Star Wars Story

Luke’s Making Taxes Hand: A Star Wars Story

Jabba’s Goblin Creature: A Star Wars Story

I would like to see Goodfellas/Casino style of SW film, preferably set on Nar Shaddaa shortly after ROTJ.

I would say film about Jabba would be great too but I prefer major OT characters not to be meddled with. Especially after seeing how badly old EU meddled with so many OT characters.

An over-budget, under-performing movie starring Kevin Costner as a jerk-with-a-heart-of-gold character who defends Kamino from a band of deathstick-using space pirates led by a one-eyed Abyssin.

A movie starring the old gang right before everything went to shit with Kylo Ren. (So the original actors can still play them.) They’re flying in the Millenium Falcon and somehow end up traveling back in time to 1980s Earth, where they have to save some whales or something.

I’d like to see a Star Wars heist film in the vein of Heat.

Also, as has been mentioned in here, an Indiana Jones movie (maybe starring a young Lor San Tekka) about a space archaeologist (who is not and never will be Force-sensitive) who digs up Jedi/Sith secrets.

A Boba Fett film where they kill off clone Boba sometime during the run of the Clone Wars TV series (which he shows up in as kinda a wannabe bounty hunter) just because I want what George did to the character to be retconned so badly. Barring that a redo of the Twin Engines of Destruction story would be cool. Someone mentioned something similar earlier in the thread.

Keep Circulating the Tapes.

Because they can’t handle sexual humour? Isn’t that a little chauvinistic?

A film or film series something like Privates on Parade or For the Boys set with a group of aliens, droids and humans that entertain the troops in various conflicts in the Star Wars universe might be fun.
Seeing as some aliens in the series live to be hundreds of years old it could span the PT, OT and ST eras.
It could be quirky but also dark (like MASH) and contain musical numbers which Disney could flog as a fun soundtrack album.

I think Lucasfilm should make an Aunt Beru spinoff. Because female characters and money XD yeah don’t do that.

Now it’s like female characters bring in more money instead of bringing in less than men like in the past. “Oh, we have to make a Ghostbusters movie” “OK, but do it with an all female cast.” Seriously, Sony was going to make an all-female Spider-Man characters movie and a Spider-Man Aunt May movie! AUNT MAY!!! And you even hear about people wanting an all-female Avengers lineup. That’s not just feminist anymore! It’s sexist! Even sexist ensemble movies have at least one girl, but now people want movies where there are no men. WTF.

Definitely gonna need to see a source on the Aunt May movie cause that is as ridiculous as Aunt Beru and about as plausible to actually happen, especially since Sony has given Spidey up to Marvel now. Also since there have been literally countless movies centered around male characters, I really don’t care if they start making more centered around female characters. They will never be able to catch up. If you don’t like it, don’t have to watch it. The reaction to the new Ghostbusters has been childish and pathetic. I can’t stand Melissa McCarthy’s humor so I have no interest in seeing it, but I sure as hell am not gonna cry about how my childhood is being ruined because they put vagina wielders in the new Ghostbusters movie.

If they cast Solo correctly and stick to a serious story, A Han Solo stand-alone could be be really interesting. They need to stay away from the OT. The world is very aware of Han Solo and who he is as a person. We don’t need a bunch of name-checks or OT references. Something along the lines of the Brian Daley novels. Han Solo and Chewie long before we ever met them.

I’d go with Stars’ End and tweak it as necessary. Show us The Corporate Sector. Let us meet Jessa. That’s a perfect spot for a female lead. Nothing wrong with taking a break from The Empire, The Force, and The Sith for a few hours. I’d certainly welcome it.

Emma Stone in her natural blonde would make a great Jessa.

Emma

She’d probably make a better go of it than Chris Evans.

“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”
