Skyfall 8/10
Liked it even better than Casino Royale. Which one do you guys like better?
I guess I prefer Skyfall since they didn’t try to distance themselves from the things that make Bond films what they are.

X-Men: Apocalypse 7.5/10
Pretty great until the CGI-filled climax. All of the dialogue for the first half is very interesting but may be hard to get through upon rewatching. I loved the younger cyclops and storm but angel was pretty poorly done (that marks two movies where he was thrown in for no reason). Apocalypse was a pretty good villain but don’t be expecting a complex character. Magneto was probably the best character in the movie, his motivations are 100% understandable, you can really tell Brian Singer loves the character.
Although I gave it the same rating as Captain America: Civil War I think it’s a step above that. Recommended.

Las movie I saw was The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. Masterpiece of a film.
“If only you knew the power of the dark side. Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father.”
“He told me enough! He told me you killed him.”
“No, I am your father.” - Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker, The Empires Strikes Back

I find all the Daniel Craig Bonds to be as fun and as silly as each other and anything Roger Moore did.
You could edit the Venice scenes of Casino Royale right into Moonraker and barely see the join.
I’ve never seen a James Bond film.
I’ve never seen a James Bond film.
I’ve seen View to a Kill and like 10 minutes of a few others.
Also the one where Bond plays a video game against the villain and whoever takes a hit gets and electric shock through the controls.

Never Say Never Again is a great film.
Keep Circulating the Tapes.

I love James Bond. I enjoy how each movie has a set formula. I had a Bond Girl poster as a kid.

X-Men: Days of Future Past (Theatrical Version) 8/10
Probably one of the best comic book movies out there, I’ve rewatched this one more than any other comic book movie. I also recommend the Rogue Cut even though I didn’t watch it this time it’s still interesting to check out.

Don’t have time to go in depth with these, but I watched a few Connery Bond films.
Dr No (1962) - C
From Russia with Love (1963) - C
Goldfinger (1964) - B
I’m sorry guys, but I really don’t get the love for Dr No and From Russia with Love. I liked Goldfinger though. Feel free to try and convince me otherwise.

They’re more mature than any other Bond films. I didn’t like them until I was in my late teens.

Dr. No is kind of silly and overrated (my opinion), but From Russia With Love has been my favorite Bond since I was a kid. Then I think it was partly because it was my introduction to the franchise, but now I appreciate it as a grounded spy flick (that still retains key elements of the Bond formula). It’s a no-nonsense lean and mean adventure thriller (almost Hitchcockian in a way - very North by Northwest). Plus it’s got two of the best villains ever (Grant and Klebb). If you don’t like it then, well, I feel sorry for you. Great fun.

You’re doing it wrong. A View to a Kill sucks and Never Say Never Again is easily the worst (not to mention unofficial).
Yeah but the point is I really have no interest in Bond.
I still love A View to a Kill in a guilty pleasure sort of way.

Same but I understand why if it’s the only Bond film you’ve seen you’d have no interest in Bond.
I’ve seen enough bits and pieces of “better” Bond movies to know it just isn’t for me.
Sat down in front of the TV
Turned on the BR/DVD combine player
Stick Guardians of the Galaxy into it
Wait
Wait
Disc Error
RIP My copy of Guardians of the Galaxy

Disc Error was a spine-tingling thriller from start to finish.
Plus it’s got two of the best villains ever (Grant and Klebb).
Really? I thought both were some of the worst parts of the film.
