LOL!
The Person in Question
The Dark Knight (2008): 8/10
It has flaws, certainly, but on the whole this is a great action/crime movie, not really a superhero movie. It’s most definitely my favourite film based off a comic book.
The Dark Knight Rises (2012): 8/10
In my opinion, this is criminally underrated. It comes so close to matching TDK in terms of quality, but falls short in a few crucial areas, like having numerous plot holes. Cinematography, music and acting were great though.
X-Men: First Class (2011): 6/10
It’s good, but the underdeveloped characters, some poor acting, a cheesy script, and bad CGI effects certainly don’t help it’s case. Either way, it’s a fun way to spend a lazy morning.
Memento (2000): 10/10
I didn’t get some parts upon first viewing, so on second viewing my rating may change, but I thought the film was a masterpiece, with a great concept, and terrific surprises.
Not enough people read the EU.
I don’t really care about the actual ratings, but basically equating those four movies is crazy talk.
One of those four,
is not like the other ones…
Prove it
I DONT HAVE TO PROVE IT
BECAUSE I SAY IT IS SO COMMA IT IS SO
IM THE BEST SAYING IT SOER
GravyTrain (2010) – 5/10

Tightrope (1984) – 6/10
The Zero Theorem (2013) – 7/10
The Trial (1962) – 8/10
Tommy (1975) – 8/10
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009) – 7/10
Maggie (2015) – 7.5/10
The Hunger Games (2012) – 8/10
Clerks (1994) – 6/10
BOO
Captain America: The First Avenger - 4/5
Srsly tho, do all Marvel villains need to be evil versions of the Hero?
Captain America: The First Avenger - 4/5
I love first avenger.
Clerks (1994) – 6/10
BOO
Avatar 7.5/10
One of my guilty pleasures, I’ll check out a fanedit of it someday to watch it without the dumb one-liners and pointless subplots.

Slightly off-topic, but can anyone recommend a good free website for getting movie recommendations based on your own rating of other movies? I used Jinni years ago but it seems that site is completely different and wants money now…
The Avengers - 5/5
The Avengers - 5/5
Completely agree. Tied as my favorite comic book movie of all time.
In the Heart of the Sea 7.5/10
Pretty good, too long though.
Oh Brother, Where Art Thou 9/10
Hilarious and very fun. Highly recommended.

DOOM - 2/5
-Meh.
The Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie - 4/5
-Fun and cliché B flick
X-Men: Apocalypse - 3/5
-A lot of wasted potential
Doctor Who (1996) - 3/5
-As a reboot which was meant to show the series to new audience, this falls flat on it’s face. As a continuation of the classic TV show, it falls flat on it’s face too but with less force. Why do Americans need to ruin everything British.
A Good Day to Die Hard - 1/5
-I was forced to watch this again with my family. I was (non)pleasantly surprised it’s still just as much garbage as I remembered it from the cinema.
Man of Steel - 3/5
-was ok i guess
Terminator: Genisys - 4/5
-I just can’t understand the hate for this movie. It’s a good turn-off-your-brain popcorn flick.
Sherlock: A Study in Pink - 5/5
Sherlock: The Blind Banker - 4/5
Sherlock: The Great Game - 4/5
-Not movies but might as well be with that 90 minute lenghth. It’s a strange mixture of Sitcom and Crimi and it somehow works.
Kingsman: The Secret Service - 5/5
-Now THIS is how you make a fucking R rated movie! I was at the edge of my seat through the whole thing!
Hardcore Henry - 2/5
-This would be a forgettable at best movie, but since the POV perspective gives you headaches, it can kindly go fuck itself!
Kill Bill Vol. 1 - 4/5
-A slow but bloody start for this dualogy. Tarantino at his best.
Kill Bill Vol. 2 - 5/5
-Everything from Kill Bill Vol. 1 but turned up to 11. Tarantino at his bestest.
Terminator: Genisys - 4/5
-I just can’t understand the hate for this movie. It’s a good turn-off-your-brain popcorn flick.
I went into it thinking it would completely suck but I really enjoyed it!

And then…hell freezes over…

Alien (Director’s Cut) 8.5/10
The deleted scenes add depth to the more bland characters and some extended scenes work much better, although a few moments IMO work better in the theatrical version.

10 Cloverfield Lane (2016).
I liked the end bits but the meat and potatoes of the piece just felt like one of those horror movies where everyone does everything wrong and I’m compelled to shout at the screen.
1999 balls.
Terminator: Genisys.
Thought Arnold was good. Thought Emilia Clarke was good. Thought J K Simmons was good. I liked some of the references, jokes, visual effects and stunts. Nice to see the time travel machine was based on the designs from T2.
I felt like it would’ve made a good mini-arc for The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Or maybe a final episode if a fan editor got involved?
But for every bit of care they took and everything they did right, there were dozens of things that were wrong. Overall, I just felt annoyed, and I’m generally a very forgiving viewer. I’m sure all involved had the best intentions but I can’t give it more than 3/10.
I really hope they just let this franchise go away and reboot it with new characters in a decade or so.
Doctor Who (1996) - 3/5
Why do Americans need to ruin everything British.
It was brought about by a British producer living in America that wanted to see his favorite show return. The final product wasn’t that great but hey we got an excellent Doctor out of it so I say that’s a positive net gain.
Aliens (Director’s Cut) 8/10
Other than all of the “JamesCameron-isms” (stupid military characters, too many one-liners, humans being the worst beings ever, etc.) it’s a pretty good movie. The new robot character is much better than the first one and Ripley’s character expanded quite a bit.

Mimic III - Sentinel: 3/5
The third installment of this franchise was cool. There WAS missed potential especially when you have Lance Henriksen in it and don’t explain the cool ass shit he is up to when we get to what should be an explosive third act. It was creepy and better than the 2nd one, but it fell a bit soft on the ending.
The Wicker Man (2006) – 4/10
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013) – 8/10
Paper Moon (1973) – 7/10
Demon Seed (1977) – 8/10
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 (2014) – 8/10
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004) – 8/10
Risky Business (1983) – 7/10
Pretty in Pink (1986) – 7/10
Now and Then (1995) – 8/10
Thumbelina (1994) – 6/10
