So I was watching some outtakes from the Star Wars saga. Is it a bad thing some of the outtakes for the Prequels express the Padme/Anakin love story better than the final cut does?
I think E3 this year will have some good announcements, especially considering EA opted out of the main conference and instead is doing their own event. We already know there’s a third person action/adventure game coming up from Respawn Entertainment (a company founded by the people who made the good Call of Duties), and I’m sure we’ll be hearing about that at least and probably others come June.

Can we get some real Star Wars games now? Besides Battlefront that is…
I think TFA is the first Star Wars film not to have a game based directly on it.
Well if this counts, TFA does have a game.
.
That was totally not on my radar. Thanks!
Where were you in '77?
I meant to mention the Lego version. Which is fine, let Lego take the film-based games since games based on films that try to be serious very rarely do well.

A retro Super Nintendo style TFA game would be neat though.

Well there doesn’t seem to be any serious story-focused SW games coming out any time soon. The last proper one was original SWTOR in 2011. I am really not interested in any other kind.

Just wait until E3. I bet we hear something cool.
Third-person action/adventure can definitely be story-focused, too!

I actually prefer 3rd-person type. After all, all the best were more or less 3rd-person (KOTOR, SWTOR, JK2, JKA, etc.). I just can’t stand LEGO kind of stuff, even though it is kinda story-focused.
Anyway, we will see.

Which is still being updated! There’s a huge ongoing story arc that they set in motion recently and it’s pretty epic in scope.
And here are the devs discussing their storytelling goals for it.
So did Disney just kill Infinity to compensate for going over budget in Shanghai?
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?
I wish they finished Star Wars: 1313
It looked like it was going to be the same quality as The Last of Us but set in the Star Wars universe and stars a young boba fett that wasn’t a Jango clone!

Gameplay wise sure but plot and character wise? I doubt it.

Thanks for the links!
I did have a short look at the Knights of the Fallen Empire trailer when it first came out (at that time I already stopped playing the game) but I didn’t quite like the direction/story. I preferred the classic Empire/Sith vs Republic/Jedi setting of the original game content. To be honest, I didn’t like any of the expansions, expect for Galactic Starfighter.

That game was about to turn into a mess. The stuff we saw of the game was what they’d managed to finish before George stepped in and had them trash it all.
Originally the game was going to star an original character and follow his rise in the underworld of 1313. That’s who you see in that game footage.
Then George stepped in and “suggested” using Boba Fett instead. Which meant scrapping most of what they’d done as there was a standing policy of “DO WHATEVER GEORGE SAYS”. It wasn’t George’s fault mind you, he just wanted to come in and make suggestions not commands.
But his handler put that policy in place which ended up killing a number of projects. As George would regularly role in every six months or so with radical suggestions that usually meant scrapping everything you’d done and starting over until his next appearance and then rinse and repeat.
Which is why we had such a long dry spell before the Disney sale.
RANDOM THOUGHTS NOT VIDEO GAME THOUGHTS THANKS
Considering the fact that with the exception of the SNES trilogy, all direct adaptation videogames were garbage, I don’t think they should make one for TFA.
I wonder if Ewoks are ticklish under all that fur, or if it’s too thick for them to feel anything?

PROBABLY LIKE DOGS
YOU CAN TICKLE THEIR FEET
I always found the Naboo scenes in AOTC to be extremely depressing. I think it has to do with the cinematography and bad CGI. I do love how Patty and Ani have a picnic when she’s supposed to be in hiding.

And they live in a palace. Inconspicuous, lol.
I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.
It was an unlisted palace. 😉
It seems like even a cheap apartment on Naboo is probably ornate though.
George obviously missed a comedic opportunity to have a couple inept bounty hunters disguised as one of those big butt cattle creatures stalking Padme.
Where were you in '77?
big butt cattle creatures
I always thought they looked like massive engorged ticks.

Yeah, but I was queasy enough looking at them without thinking that. 😉
