I finally download 2.5 last week, now there’s going to be a 2.7? I least I re-figured out how to download things. 😉

What’s the enhancement for this release?

Altered color palette, I cleaned up some of TN1’s shots to replace GOUT shots, Catbus provided improved greedo subs and Hindi, Ukrainian, Russian, Navajo, and Thai audio dubs. Darth Lucas rotoscoped the saber in Ben’s hut from 35mm.

I’m wondering if that’s a typo or intention 😄

Eh, it’s from typing on my phone.

I keep editing it, and it shows it fixed, but seems to revert?

Edit: oh, I was repeatedly fixing the second error and having browser cache issues. 😃 it happens pretty much every time I type shots on my phone (including just there) and I’m surprised this is the first time someone quoted it in time!

What do you type in your phone so often that it’s learned to autocorrect to ‘shits’ 😃.

To be fair, TN1’s shits would still probably look better than the GOUT.

It’s a new App: IBS.apk

I thought I recognized your foul stench when I entered this forum!

Thanks towne! My friend and I will be watching 2.5 this weekend, which will be still great!

Is it possible to somehow remove most of the soundtracks on the AVCHD version without loss in visual quality? The .m2ts file is ever so slightly too large to fit onto my disc. Also open to other ways I might be able to shrink the file size without loss in quality.

Thank you for any assistance in advanced.

To a dvd9? It sounds like you must not be burning it properly. Without re-encoding, it should fit.

To dvd5 I don’t think you can delete enough tracks to make it work.

If there’s some other peculiar reason making it too large, yes you can leave off a track.

^Download TsMuxer and you can demux it and remux without the tracks you don’t want. I think that should work.

EDIT: Too slow…

THE SUN RACES THROUGH A BLUE SKY FILLED WITH WHITE CLOUDS.

Thank you Dek and towne. TsMuxer did the trick, shaving off approximately 1.7GBs removing all but the 5.1 track (well more than I needed). Thanks again for all of your help guys.

You probably got the ITA remuxed version someone made - all you need is to remove the Italian audio.

I started playing with the different audio tracks that come with the Despecialized releases. I’m completely blown away! The work put into this whole project never fails to amaze me.

I did notice what I think is an error however. In the mono audio mix, Leia’s blaster in the chasm doesn’t have its “gunshot” sound as I think it’s supposed to have. Is this a known issue or am I mistaken?

I think that’s just the 97 that has it. This was also sourced form a 16mm print, so it should be a fully authentic mono track.

The mono track on Harmy’s version of Empire is sourced from a 16mm print. The one in Star Wars is a restoration done by an old member here who sourced it from old European VHS broadcast recordings (with some down mixed stereo mixes and soundtrack CDs to fill in missing gaps).

As far as the gunshots go… They should be in the mono track. Here’s what is should sound like compared to modern mixes:

What’s the internal temperature of a TaunTaun? Luke warm.

Mono has it. They just went nuts with it on the SE track. You’re not going to find anything that sounds like the SE track until the SE. The original mono track effect was much subtler.

Ah gotcha. I really couldn’t tell if I was hearing it because I was expecting it to be there. Thanks for the info!
