I'm about to kill myself trying to get DVD burning software...

Can somebody tell me a good software program to download to burn DVDs on my external DVD player??

I've been using Roxio, and it's burned nothing but a few good frisbees. I've tried to download Nero but it never has the option of burning full DVDs.

Can somebody tell me where to get a Nero that can actually BURN real DVDs from file, or something else that can??
I will be forever in your debt.

Thanks, from a very disheartened Star Wars geek.

I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

Nero 6.0 burns DVDs from file for me, and I got it from Lokitorrent I believe.

I use DVD X Copy, but that's kinda hard to get your hands on now.

DVD Decrypter burns straight from ISO.

No. You are welcome to try DVD Decrypter (free), which will burn straight from ISO. If the files you have aren't in ISO format, then find yourself a free ISO-editing tool (there are plenty available).

Thanks for that link, I downloaded it.

I'm trying to burn from file, and I "browsed" to the VIDEO_TS folder. It seems to want an ISO file. What is ISO and how can I get one to burn the dvd file?

I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

I don't have a Mac, so I don't have any toast.

Does anyone know why when I download Nero (I've tried several times) that it never comes with the "DVD-Video" option, only mini-DVD???

If you could answer this, you'd answer my problem.

seems nero doesn't think you can burn DVD's.

DVD Shrink does a good job at burning DVD's as well.

DVD players can't burn DVDs!

Seriously, you may have downloaded an OEM version of Nero that is "locked" to specific hardware. If you didn't pay for it or you didn't get it bundled with your burner then it seems likely that this is the case.

Easiest program to use is DVD Decrypter. Simply right-click on an .iso or .img file and select "burn".

If you have a Video_TS folder instead of a disc image, use ImgTool Classic to create an ISO first.

^^Sorry, ma.

I meant DVD *burner*. Duh, I know players can't burn.

I finally found a REAL DVD plugin for Nero, and it works just fine now. I tested it by burning the Pre-ANH DVD, and it plays fine.

Thanks so much, it works now.
