I love the non-textured protocol droids standing near c3po, it’s like they gave up and just left the models alone.
Wow. I thought ILM weren’t bringing their A-Game to the PT… but jesus.
Yeah and in later shots you see them up pretty close, it’s terrible!

Don’t blame me, I voted for Yogurt.
generic Serkis mocap character one million
I see. Sorta like The Godfather was just Marlon Brando oscar winning performance one million.
No?
Ending questions with periods and statements with question marks. Did no one ever teach you proper punctuation?

Among all CGI movies released back in the 90’s, JP is still impressive (especially… the non CGI animated creatures !) but not as impressive as what can be seen in STARSHIP TROOPERS.
I think that if Rogue One is really good, it will slot in between A New Hope and The Force Awakens. Even if it is a 10/10 movie (I highly doubt it) it will never surpass those first two films. Empire is my favourite film of all time and Star Wars is my number three.
Not enough people read the EU.
If it’s bad I think it will slot in between The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.

I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.
#1 Star Wars
#2 The Empire Strikes Back
#3 Return of the Jedi
#4 The Force Awakens
#5 Revenge of the Sith
#6 The Phantom Menace
#7 Attack of the Clones
I’m so late to this that it doesn’t even matter, but:
Even a non-French speaker can understand that 😉
“English, motherf***er! Do you speak it!?”
I’ve considered swapping TPM and ROTS on my list, but ultimately I think I’d have to watch them again, and I don’t want to put myself through that. So for now my list is:
SW/ANH=TESB>>TFA>ROTJ>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ROTS>TPM>>AOTC
.
I’ve considered swapping TPM and ROTS on my list
DO IT
- La Guerre Des Étoiles
- L’Empire Contre-Attaque
- Le Réveil De La Force
- Le Retour Du Jedi
- La Menace Fantôme
- La Revanche Des Sith
- L’Attaque Des Clones
Even a non-French speaker can understand that 😉
Why would you include the Ewok movies in your ranking and then leave out both TESB and TFA?
The Person in Question
I’m sure that’s a joke but I can’t quite seem to get my head around it.
So does anyone think that The Empire Strikes Back will ever be topped as the best Star Wars movie ever made?

Nah.
It was already topped by Star Wars.
Ceci n’est pas une signature.
So does anyone think that The Empire Strikes Back will ever be topped as the best Star Wars movie ever made?
Probably not but with the way the ST is coming along it’s possible Episode VIII could do it. Here’s to hoping.

swagmaster thinks it was topped by Revenge of the Si–
Ha, I can’t even finish the sentence.
If episode 8 really does it well with Rian Johnson then maybe just maybeee. Very hard though. ESB is nearly perfect IMO and one of my most favorite films of ALL TIME.
I don’t think any future SW film will ever be able to surpass TESB. The PT’s taint on the SW Universe has made that forever improbable.
For me? No. No matter how good future Star Wars films are, they’ll all share the fatal flaw of not making an impression on me as a child. The originals will always have that magical nostalgia value that it’s literally impossible to overcome. I may well recognize that they may make technically superior films to the OT, and frankly you could already make a case for TFA, but they’ll never top it in my eyes. I’m just glad future generations will be able to have a Star Wars of their own just as I did at their age, despite Lucas’s insistence that would never happen and there were only 6, and I feel sorry for kids for whom that was the prequels and the special editions.
