Oh come on. The Motion Picture, The Final Frontier, and Nemesis are not bad movies.
It’s certainly not as outrageous of a claim as my love for ROTS.
Might actually be more so…

Please explain why you think that.
The Motion Picture is an undeniably great film.
The Final Frontier has lots of issues but the Yosemite scenes are quintessential Trek, Sybok is great, and the search for God is interesting.
Lots of good Kirk/Spock/McCoy moments throughout as well.
Nemesis gets a baffling amount of hate.
Hardy knocks it out of the park, the romulans are always interesting, Spiner is great, THE RAMMING SCENE, the scorpion fyler in the hallways, the cool idea of picard having a clone… And on and on.

If you’re a Lucas fanboy I can understand why you love ROTS. But calling Star Treks 1, 5, and 10 the best is just obvious trolling.
The Motion Picture is underrated, sure, but Final Frontier is pure garbage and Nemesis is a mess. Again, I could sort of see how you might like them, but to call them the best?

The movies were never the best part of Trek, and I like those three the best.
I also think Enterprise is just as good the other shows, especially season 4.

Yes. Yes it is. But it’s not mind numbingly or uncomfortably bad. It’s just plain bad with little to no redeeming qualities. I haven’t seen Nemesis since 2003, so all I remember from that is Hardy’s (spoiler) death. The Motion Picture, on the underhand, is vastly underrated and one of my favorite Trek films.

At first I thought “Okay, just some random contrarian critic.” But then I saw that this guy is also a filmmaker and that’s the point where I really rolled my eyes. I’m scared to know what kinds of films this guy makes.

The (good) movies were probably the best part of Star Trek. TMP, ST II, ST III, ST VI, and First Contact (sort of) were fantastic. They all have flaws, but they have more pros to outweigh those. Nemesis and Enterprise were just crap. Nemesis was just ST trying to be SW. Enterprise was the Trek equivalent of the PT. It constantly contradicts TOS. Archer did everything Kirk did first before Kirk did it. Seriously? These are not good things. I don’t care if Patrick Stewart loves driving dune buggies, it doesn’t belong in Star Trek.

If you really think so. My only complaints about ST III is that they got a different actress for Savek, and a couple of SFX shots are kind of bleh.
