I’m hoping we’ll see a 5.1 mix for these or at least improved versions of Harmy’s Despecialized 3.0 Editions using some clips from these transfers to clean them up for 1080p. I understand there are missing frames to deal with so it’s not possible to just toss it over top and I’m extremely grateful for your work with this project TN1!

The previews are early just that, early versions of what will be used in the ‘Sanitized’ version, we just didn’t have a name at the time.

That’s reassuring. Those previews looked pretty good as far as color and cleanup goes. Not perfect, but quite watchable given that you say it was a one person job. Hopefully that one person works on the Fujis.
Actually, it will be a different person working on the Fuji one. We will have more news about that when the time comes.

We are going to have a private review of the 720p version of Empire Strikes Back - Sanitized, and if there is nothing major that stands out. (Except for a few scenes that need color correction). Then the process of getting the 25 G MKV version ready will begin.

Ok so it’s just a 720p clean up. When I hear sanitized I’m thinking heavy degrained digital noise reduction and waxy faces like the Predator Ultimate Hunter edition blu-ray.

Just Stab() and RemoveDirt() work wonders by themselves, from my experience working with the grindhouse release, though not as good as a manual job.

I have one question - sience Your Star Wars 35 mm version was totally mind blowing for me and i watched it about 20 times to this day (really, really, congratulations!) - I wonder if there is any way to download Grindhouse and other versions of ESB from some rapid servers (such as uloz.to)? I’ve downloaded Star Wars 35mm from tehparadox, some good guy posted there.
Any sugestions? :C I can’t use torrents and usenet. I dont know if this is right place to such questions. Plz help.

Someone posted both Grindhouse and Silver Screen on a certain bay where pirates roam. I already downloaded the latter (looks great btw, takes me back to my childhood like nothing else–I can’t speak to the colors of certain prints etc. but I like what I see, grain and all) and am about 75% done downloading the former.

I found Grindhouse version on rapids, but unfortunatelly only with italian voiceover. I tried to make my own version with default english audio from Harmy’s despecialized, but it doesn’t fit. I will try some actions with audio from unaltered rips though.
