Nice to see another one offering his expertise. Your second link is broken (“a” at the beginning") and the video is private.
If there is anything as small as the crawl edit or similar, I would also be able to help with such thing.

Yikes, thanks for the heads-up. I fixed the link. Kudos on the crawl edit, by the way, it looked pretty legit. You even got the distance blur right - great attention to detail.

Sorry for not updating in a while… i’m in a middle of huge opportunity and trying to close the deal, so it’s been quite complicated to arrange time to work on the requests… i’ll post an update of the situation in the future…

In effect all I need is the replacement of the text.

I can do that for you. If I’m not mistaken, is that made using the Opening Crawl Maker on StarWars.com? Cause if it is, it’s slightly faster and will have to be slowed down (which I can do). Also, I have a file of RoTS on me, so I can merge it with the opening stuff for you

Wow, thanks so much! It is btw and I’ll def give u a mention in the credits because I think I’m making an edit of the phantom edit so yeh.

EDIT: I wonder if this is too much to ask, but my screen recording software is a bit crappy so would it be possible to cut out the jittering of the crawl/smooth it out a little at least? That’s an added bonus really…

I’ll just put it into the Crawl Maker and re-record it on my computer. The website uses flash and thus it’s going to be really laggy and low resolution but it’ll do. And it’s really not a hassle for me. I love doing this kind of stuff, and I have a 3-day weekend on my hands

You’ll need to add the Duel of the Fates to the ship flying in, but that’s about it. iMovie’s a peice of sh!t and can’t handle cropping a video to widescreen so there is a resolution difference.

i dont know if anyone would be up for it or not, but i have been trying to add hyperspace shots to my edit (due out soon). i didnt know if anyone would be willing to add hyper space to the shot of the transport in AOTC that Ani and Padme are in. i would do it myself, but trying to get the camera to line up right and rendering are really taking a toll on my computer

how far are you with the Rebel raid on the bunker hundsdorfex?

Here’s the deal…

I currently live on Brazil, and if you are informed of world news, you probably know that we’re not in a good economical shape. Our economy is going down the toilet along with millions of jobs.
When i started this project i was unemployed, so it seemed a good thing to keep me occupied. Along the end November and the start of December, i got an internship on the local Tv broadcast, witch is not a big deal, but it is a start. Now thinking about it, that internship was brutal, damn i even slept the whole night there once… anyway, this internship think was over by the end of December, then i finally got the job. I do some After Fx, camera positioning and some on set stuff, and i’m getting paid for, witch is amazing, since i dont have a degree in any of this (cinema/ special fx).

So thats why i can’t work on the requests any longer, i work with a computer almost the whole day, and i can’t come home to do the exact same thing…

I know… i’m an ass… i’m disappointing a lot of people and i know it… sorry, i’m really sorry!
The point is, i wanted to work on requests… but i just dont have the time and energy enought to do it…
Again, i’m sorry!

But hey, if you stop to thing about it, its only a matter of time till i get fired, and when it happens, i’ll get back to working on the requests! (no this isn’t a joke, things are really this bad)

If anyone else wants to pick up the torch and continue, you’re free to use this topic!

Don’t even worry about it. Life comes first. I don’t think anybody here would want you working on this stuff if it meant getting in the way of a job.

Maybe this thread can just be a venue for people to request effect work and where people with vfx skills can look for and accept things to work on.
