Idea: Two Prequels instead of Three

 (Edited)

i’m going to set out to make my first fan edit, my prequel “saga” will consist of two films “Rise Of The Clone Army” which will consist of half scenes from TPM and the other half will be scenes from AOTC
The “sequel” Will be called “Call To The Dark” and it will start out with the second half of AOTC and finish with scenes from ROTS…
I will not be starting with the original version of the films, I will start with the “Fall of the Jedi” fan-edit series of prequels which helps to keep the continuity.

If Any one has any suggestions feel free to leave them! 😄

May use this in my project if it turns out good.

I really hope it does and since alot of the work is already done (because I’m using previously edited fan edits) it shouldn’t take as long

I don’t mean to sound rude here… but if you create a trailer for a fan edit, it should ideally show what sets your edit apart from the main films. That trailer comes across more as a weird sequence of scenes, too much dialogue, reusing existing trailers from TPM/AotC, and throwing a TFA trailer themed score on top with jarring existing music.

In hindsight, it may be rather redundant to make a trailer for a fan edit if the core story is the same and you’re rearranging/cutting scenes.
Actually, the best ‘trailer’ you can do is simply making a changelist of what you’re doing in the edit.

Plus this trailer sucked… The next one I’m posting still has many of the issues you stated but is a quality trailer that will build hype

Had a discussion today with a guy on fanedit.org who wants to do a 3-in-1 of the prequels. I agree with you Dalton that it would be much better suited to bring it down to two films, and bridging the gap in the middle of AOTC is a fantastic way of doing it!

It takes care of both time jumps (TPM>AOTC/AOTC>ROTS) and you still get to keep plenty of (decent) footage to tell your story.

Will be keeping tabs on this 😃

Thanks! A lot of the footage is already cut for me… Q2 did a fantastic job with his Fall Of The Jedi trilogy… The first one I haven’t had to cut much of anything… It’s all a mater of placing the time jumps in good spots and making it smooth… And finding a good stoping point
