This is probably shopped, but it sums up the last two weeks nicely. 😉

Where were you in '77?

I was out driving yesterday, and I saw a huge inflatable Santa Claus in someone’s yard. I’m also getting Christmas-related ads on Youtube. They should just bump Christmas back ten days every year…

I work retail and am not close to very much of my family, so Thanksgiving/Christmas time holds nothing but misery for me. I’m not just being melodramatic or comically complaining about the holidays, I really hate them.

I don’t hate the concept or the principle, it’s just that this time of year all I really see as far as the Christmas spirit is the greedy, selfish, shitty side of people. (obviously not all I see, but compared to a normal time of year christmas and thanksgiving is particularly miserable.)

I never went to college, and I’ve made it as far as manager, it’d be unlikely for me to be able to get a better job anywhere else without going to school, which I can’t afford.

MAX GO won’t stream on Chromecast (WTF?!), neither will AIV, my Sony Blu-ray player can’t get the premium channel streaming apps, the Amazon Instant Video interface on it doesn’t tell me if it’s 1080p or not, my HDTV only has two HDMI ports, you can’t get Ed, Edd, N’ Eddy on video after season 2, Mighty Max isn’t on DVD, 24 isn’t on Blu-ray, Babylon 5 isn’t streaming, Hulu doesn’t have all of Dark Shadows or Dragon Ball Z, Time After Time isn’t on Blu-ray, I don’t know how to get DRM content that’s not on video off of my DVR…

Oh, I’m sorry, I thought by “bitch about something,” you mean “first world problems” 😉.

Also, how do you do italics now?

“What Orwell feared were those who would ban books. What Huxley feared was that there would be no reason to ban a book, for there would be no one who wanted to read one.”

Italics are done with an asterisk on either side of the italicized writing.

I hope that’s shopped. Notice the little child on the right?

Nobody sang The Bunny Song in years…

I think the 80’s was the turning point, when the first punch was thrown over a Cabbage Patch Doll.

I’m surprised this hasn’t happened in real life yet. 😉

In my store last year some lady had to be taken to the hospital over an altercation that occurred over FUCKING WASH RAGS.

Why do people feel the need to have big pictures or walls of text in their signatures?
It’s very annoying.

I contemplated putting the bunny pic in my sig, but I’m certain that would get me banned.

Don’t do drugs, unless you’re with me.

Did anyone celebrate Columbus Day last week? Because he was the greatest mass murderer in history pre-20th century. He was the father of imperialism, and completely indefensible as a person. Nearly all of the native population in the Americas was wiped out by diseases he brought over from Europe, the tailspin of the sixth mass extinction started here, and the Atlantic slave trade could not have existed without him. If the masses knew the truth about Columbus it would produce anti-american sentiment at home, so they have to lie about the man to keep the country in line. Columbus wasn’t the Stalin of the 15th century; instead, Stalin was the Columbus of the 20th century.

A “father of imperialism”? Don’t be ridiculous. He was rather insignificant. Especially when it comes to North America where the real genocide happened after the “colonial era” / “independece”.

In regards to the former, we’d all resize them if we could.

Funny. I did nothing but bitch about the heat and the sun during the summer, wishing it would do nothing but rain and rain and rain. Now that there is no heat and plenty of rain, I’ve done a 180; I’m as miserable as I was during the summer, but for the polar opposite reason.

There are only two times of the year when I feel almost cheerful: late February to mid-May and late August to early October. The rest of the year is utter misery.

Well just don’t put images into signature. Unless image height is 10 pixels, it is annoying.

That’s why I’ve chosen my current signature. Short, to the point, somewhat drug related.

What about bread-bowl clam chowder. Do you enjoy that?
