Poor Leia doesn’t get a weapon.
She’s probably using those mysterious floating green circles to command a bunch of space ships with proton torpedo laser ion canon bombs in some kind of war amidst the stars.
Her sharp tongue is a formidable weapon. Rebel recruits cower in fear of being called a Nerf Herder. 😉
Han looks like he’s wearing a jacket with a hood?
Where were you in '77?

Something I didn’t really notice until now, or maybe only noticed on a subconscious level, is how much Rey’s staff weapon thing resembles Darth Maul’s lightsaber.
Reminds me more of a lightsaber pike.

And she probably thinks it’s just a Battle School training exercise.
Hopefully we’ll get a good story where she Speaks to the Dead species she killed, before things start to get crazy and religious.
Poor Leia doesn’t get a weapon.
Yes she does, it’s called “attitude”!

Her mouth will do…
Seriously there had better be some bitching arguments in this film and snide remarks
I’m sure the bickering will start minutes after Han and Leia are reunited. 😉

I’m not one of the people who thinks that TFA will be a failure or disappointing if it doesn’t actually feel like I’m watching a film from the 70’s/80’s, but I am kind of hoping for some oldschool cheesy dialogue between those two.

I really hope so!
I have not heard anyone else bring this up, but it may have been said already.
I mean as you said Silverwook I want some proper flaming arguments going down here… But there is a chance that they may not still be together in this movie in fact I am banking on it or almost hoping for it as no longer being a couple… but What if by the end of this new trilogy Han and Leia end up together again.
would’nt that be something?
What I am saying is it would make sense that they are separated… It seems an obvious plot point to me… Yeah Cheesy but bring that on!
Which would be better Han being with another Girl and Leia single or Leia with another Man and Han Being single or both Han and Leia being in other relationships or them both meeting again and both being single having been in other relationships.

Then why isn’t her tongue stretching across her face?
I want someone to do that now…
^^creepy…
also, to the guy who said Leia and Han should have split up… NO. just no. that would be truly ridiculous and make no sense. What it seemed to me from the trailer is that they are still together (can’t believe I actually have to make a case for this lol) but have been away from each other for a long period of time, since both have important things to to for the Rebellion-turned-Resistance. So I would assume they can’t be together as often as they would like, but that doesn’t mean they would have ended their relationship. not by a long shot.

I think it’s a bit absurd to assume that anything is obvious at this point, based on about a third of a second of a trailer.

Why would that be ridiculous and make no sense?

I wouldn’t be at all surprised or dismayed if Han and Leia aren’t romantically involved at the start of the film. I would hope that they never really got over each other and eventually rekindle their romance (if they both live long enough), but I almost think I’d prefer it if they haven’t communicated in years or decades. Giving that relationship a conflict to struggle with and hopefully overcome is much more interesting than having them as a functional couple from the outset.
It would echo Indy and Marion’s relationship in Crystal Skull a bit though. 😉

Oh God, I didn’t realize how well I’d managed to block out Crystal Skull. And now it’s all rushing back.

It would be ridiculous because we’ve spent three movies watching them fall in love. Having them split would be a spit in the face similar to starting Alien3 with Hicks and Newt dead.
Or Ewoks: The Battle For Endor beginning with the deaths of Cindel’s entire family. 😉

I assume they’re channeling this scene with Leia.

Exactly. Not to mention that the movie beginning with a separated couple who then get back together is a bit cliché.
well the way I look at it is it’s going to be a trilogy of films so whatever you start with you are going to have an arc in their current or previous relationship.
I’d rather see them separated and make it up then be together and drift apart,
I have no idea what is planned for their relationship but I think it will be a very interesting plot point in the film or could be interesting say.
They’re not the stars anymore. Any romance plotlines will be reserved for the new cast.
The old gang is just here to hand over the metaphorical baton.
