GOOD things about the prequels? — Page 2

That would tie in with the old Bantha Tracks newsletter where someone let slip Beru was going to be in ROTJ. ;)

And we already know the Emperor can change both his voice and appearance, just by comparing ESB against ROTJ.  I wasn't actually convinced when I wrote it at first, but now I'm pretty certain.

EDIT: And I'm pretty sure this is topical, in the sense that it fits the thread title of "Stuff that never happened in a Star Wars film".

The cutscenes.... just kidding :D

Well, what I said was good about the prequels aren't exactly things that I like about them. I'd rather have had a proper PT and indulge in anything Star Wars related than being able to have a cheap laugh at "I don't like sand".

Sadly, I'd have to say the only good thing about the Prequels is that they spawned the following:

Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles

Star Wars: Episode I Racer

Star Wars: Republic

Star Wars: Republic Commando

Genndy Tartakovsky's Clone Wars

Star Wars: The Dark Times

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Don't forget the RedLetterMedia reviews. I can't decide which is better, those reviews or the 2003 Clone Wars. On one hand you have 4 hours worth of complete destruction of the prequels, but on the other hand, you have the Star Wars prequels we should have gotten all along.

Genndy Tartakovsky's Clone Wars

I personally never thought there was any way to redeem the storyline in the prequels until I watched this prior to watching ROTS. It occurred to me that the prequels could have actually had been good if it were in better hands. Watching the clone wars, suddenly the love story worked, the angst of Anakin worked, Yoda fighting worked and on and on...

Goes to show how one person can make or break a story.

What’s the internal temperature of a TaunTaun? Luke warm.

I hear all this love for the 2003 Clone Wars, and then I remember this scene

and wonder what the hell it is you're all smoking.

Ian McDiarmid was great in the prequels, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that he is a great actor. He has acted and sounded pretty much the same in everything I have seen him in.

I originally joined this board because I wanted to fan-edit Episode III. Back then I collected movies and TV-series with Ian McDiarmid just for collecting lines of him - and yes, all his characters' lines sound as if Palpatine delivered them.

BTW, there is also a lot of Liam Neeson's lines from other movies that you could reuse as lines for Qui-Gon Jinn. (Just add lightsabers to Batman Begins. :-þ ... ) Up to the point that he started channelling Charles Bronson, that is...

If he travelled through a black hole and survived, anything's possible.

The score for Menace is sublime.  I wish there were some way to separate the music from the negative emotions.
