But good for you. Hopefully we'll see you around in the not too distant future.
I am. Jesus doesn't stop being the son of Adonai the most high God just because I'm Jewish. And I don't stop being Jewish just because I know that Jesus is the son of Adonai the most high God. Petty human arguing about whether or not Jesus is the messiah or if he and his father in heaven even exist are irrelevant to the truth.

In essence I'll probably be away from here at least 6 months if not then maybe even a year. Depends on how things turn out. Again you can keep in contact with me via twitter or if you want my e-mail just say so, so that I can PM it to you.

One thing I have always found unfortunate about religion is the way most everyone believes their version of "the truth" is the correct version.

Good luck twister, hope to see you around again.

well naturally, If I believe X, I am going to believe X is the truth.   If I didn't believe it X was the truth, how can I say I believe X?

true, but most Jewish people don't believe Jesus is the son God.  They believe the Messiah hasn't yet come.

true.  But I would wager that many Jewish people that believe Jesus is the son of God would convert to Christianity.   (I am not saying you should convert nor am I saying you shouldn't convert)

Petty human arguing about whether or not Jesus is the messiah or if he and his father in heaven even exist are irrelevant to the truth.

not sure about that.

You could perhaps *believe* X is the truth, but still acknowledge the fact that Y might have truth to it as well, or that perhaps even X and Y are two different interpretations of the same Z.

It's a style of thinking that very religious peoplethrough no fault of their own—may not be accustomed to operating under.

People such as my self tend to believe that everything (with the sole exception of proofs in pure Mathematics) is falsifiable.

All of my beliefs (again, giving exception to proofs in pure Mathematics) are therefore subject to change given a sufficient body of scientific evidence.

My head is filled with probablys and maybes and is subject to change at any time.

* It's worthwhile to note that I'm a Tooth Fairy Agnostic, so I really do go all-the-way with this.

My faith, like that of many other religious people, is not about scientific evidence.

I'm aware of that, so I was trying to help you understand where Frink was coming from.

possible.  But I'd have to know more about X, Y, and Z.    For example if Y were the exact opposite of X, it would be difficult to argue that X true while at the same time believing Y is also true.  Also,  it is also difficult to argue that things that are the exact opposite of each other are in fact interpretations of the same Z.

HOLY FUCK IS THIS GOING TO TURN INTO ANOTHER 3 PAGE DEBATE ABOUT RELIGION/FAITH IN A NON-RELIGION THREAD?

It's the trend of all off-topic threads. We need TV's Frink around as an unofficially-official off-topic moderator to keep things sane.

Where you at, Frink?

I am not so special.  Never meant to imply that.  My argument wasn't about what I know to be true, it was about what I believe to be true.

What's unfortunate is that you'd rather rebuke what I have to say in an impersonal manner than address me directly and ask me why I feel like I know the truth now. Don't you find it odd that after all this time that we've interacted on these forums the moment I proclaim Jesus Christ with authority you instantly close your ears and use truth in quotations as though it'd be impossible for me to know it? Do you not question your own quickness to dismiss what I have said? You'd rather ask Warbler who isn't proclaiming with such authority that I am. Though it's not about being special in any certain way. Anyone here could come to the same truth I have if they would only seek Jesus and the most high God on their own with sincerity. Praying's free and it takes very little time of your day to do so. I can pray that you see that there is truth in my words and actions but I can't do the actual act of praying for you. God gave you the free will to choose to pray or not. It's up to you to seek the truth for yourself I can't do it for you.

I will say this, it'd be nice to hang out here for when the next Star Wars movie releases. It'd be nice to discuss the story points, see the fan edits, and the eventual animated gifs for it. I just can't stay here while I know that God doesn't want me wasting my time here.

Well then obviously I'm not like most Jewish people.

Anyways I'll be checking here probably until 7am or 10am tomorrow at the latest. Primarily to give my e-mail address to those that want it. I may post again I may not. But if I don't this'll be my last post here until I do enough for Jesus and Adonai that I feel like I can check in again.

Goodbye everyone and if you'd like to talk again you have two ways to contact me.

I'm not sure that we can come to any truth without the ability to verify our experiences with something other than another subjective experience.

With that being said, I do wish you the best of luck. I hope you find happiness and meaning in whatever walk of life you choose.

Warb responded to what I said, so I responded back...just as I'm doing now.  It had nothing to do with what you think you know to be the truth.

Furthermore, responses like yours only prove my point.  You are so convinced of your truth you don't even consider all the other people who are convinced of their truth, even though all these truths are contradictory in one way or another.  Just for one example, you aren't going to find many Jewish people who subscribe to your version of the truth.  Myself included.

Have you not considered that you are equally certain that most of us are wrong about our religions, as you have made quite clear on several occasions? I bet you're also pretty sure that creationism is not how the world came about, and that matter is made up of atoms. Yet in neither case have you had an opportunity to experience those realities first-hand, and you must rely on the research, experience, and conclusions of others to form a decision on them.

EDIT: Apologies for engaging you in debate, but you started it. :P
