Don't worry, I'm not going to 'out' anybody or anything, (even with veiled threats tossed nonchalantly in my direction) but really, if they think they are currently in any way protected, and are worried about being found out, then I would advise they walk away from it now, as it would be pretty delusional to think they wouldn't be found if looked for.
There is no need to 'disclose' their identities, but thinking that not having their voices on a track is any kind of protection is a bit silly.

team negative 1, you are posting in an open forum. anyone can see your posts, if they have registered or not. If Disney wanted to find you, then all they would need to do is get their legal team involved, force jay to log ip addresses when you post and they could find you without problem. The last thing they would bother with is voice recognition. You are in no way protected as it is, so hiding your voices is a waste of time.

As mentioned, I have no intention of doing so, other than outing myself, which was only as I don't enjoy threats, and it was the easiest way to remove it :)
I really just wanted to be sure that no one on the team was thinking they were anonymous, it would be awful for someone to do work thinking that way and be unpleasantly surprised later when they worked out they weren't. I have my eyes open going into this stuff, and I think that is important if you are going to do it.

I didn't realize asking about a possible documentary would start a controversy. Sorry guys! I wasn't asking for anyone to reveal themselves in a documentary; I was just hoping for an explanation of the process.

We're all adults that knew the risks of getting into this project. We're not too worried or concerned about what occurs. We've handled this longer than most other projects, so trying to dissuade us at this point has no effect. We haven't noticed anything happen after we released Empire Strikes Back, and we don't anticipate anything happening after Star Wars or Return of the Jedi either.
Unlike other projects, where people are bringing attention to themselves. We want the focus to be on Star Wars, and bringing people the best version possible. The people on the Team have no need for recognition. This is a group effort.
That will always be our focus, not anyone's identities.

Just wanted to check in that no one on the team mistakenly thought hiding their voices would protect them from the ire of Disney should the hammer ever come down. Nothing more, nothing less.

Hi. Just watched some of the preview. So, thanks to begin with. I understand this is a preview, so I suppose my concerns will be corrected in the final rendering. Here are my concerns:
- After the opening crowl, blacks are not that black. They're grey. In space, on Vader, in (not so) dark corridors where Leia and C-3PO are hiding, etc.
- The way it's cropped shows dark grey borders on many occasions, that are distracting. Very noticeable during the sweeps/fade ins, I don't know how to call them. And some are coming and going and reveal round corners. Also, especially on Tatooine, a yellow line appears in many cuts, on the one frame before and the one frame after the cut, that's also distracting. I hope you'll crop the whole movie differently when the time comes to hide that stuff.

- NO Color Correction has been done on the remaining parts. Some shots are very dark,
and will be replaced, along with the starfield scenes.
- Slight cropping has been done on the clips.

As you noticed, the glue frames have not all been cleaned.
Crop it further, and then watch it, and you will notice a difference.

Just saw the preview. It's got a ways to go, but it looks like this will shape up to be a respectable release when all is said and done. So refreshing to see Star Wars from 35mm without the special edition changes!
