Oh its actually splendid!  It's a free fireworks show I can see from my house whenever I like :)  The sound isn't too bad as I'm just a couple miles out (about a 4 or 5 minute drive), so if I have my tv on you can barely hear it.  You get fairly used to it.

I'm not sure what house you're talking about so I would assume it's gone.  I know disney had to undergo hell when they wanted to build California Adventure because they had to convince a whole community, many of whom had been living there for years and years toward the back end of the old parking lot to sell their properties in order to make the room that disney would need to build the park.

Yeah, this was back in the 80's/90's, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's gone. The pics I took in the old Disneyland parking lot are historical now!

I wish they would throw money at me to sell my Florida swampland. They have to build a Star Wars theme park somewhere! ;)

Just dropping in to say I'll be there.

You haven't got time, get back to work on that SW 3-in-1 edit! ;-)

Only joking my friend. Have a great time and say a "Boo and hiss" for me if they screen the Hayden force ghost.

VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

I'm having trouble justifying the expense myself. If it was a yearly thing in the same location, then staying home when I'm only a couple hours away wouldn't bite so hard. :(

Oh yeah, I live about a thousand miles away so that's definitely the main thing preventing my attendance. If I lived close then I'd probably spring for it too.

and there is still this one timeslot Coming Soon.

Now this was a dead end in terms of an OOT announcement: Feud of the Force Celebrity Game Show.

It seems like they are going to screen the complete prequel trilogy in 3D and the original trilogy in 2D. Suspicious, I would say... Reliance's new 4K restoration?

I don't think they would screen a new transfer without properly advertising it. But if it is Reliance's, it's definitely not the OOT. They don't want to piss off PT/SE fans right at the celebration and given that ROTS is shown right before SW there will be a lot of PT/SE fans.

If it's the now eleven-years-old Lowry transfers for the umpteenmillionth time, I'll be disappointed but not surprised.

Maybe they'll announce that all six movies are being theatrically re-released in 3D this Fall ahead of Episode Seven?

I'm betting that the OOT will never be mentioned at Celebration. I mean why talk about an obsolete product that was discontinued 20 years ago that we ended up liking by accident?

Yet the actor whose Emperor voice was replaced in ESB will be there.

Does anyone know if he (or people like him who were replaced) have attended these events before? It seems like something Lucas wouldn't have wanted. I mean, he's bound to get asked by someone how he feels about getting deleted from the movie

Sebastian Shaw passed away in 1994, well before Hayden's head was attached to his body.

If original Boba Fett voice Jason Wingreen, or the guy in the wolfman outfit in the cantina, (who was replaced by a puppet) ever hit the con circuit, I have no idea...

I wouldn't want someone else's head attached to my body until I passed away either.

...

Too soon?

Do you expect an OOT release announcement at the Celebration this year?

There are at least two obvious reasons that may justify a release.

1 -Releasing OOT just before the first sequel would be a huge promotion for the new trilogy and pump up the hype.

2 - 2015 is the 20th anniversary of the last home video release of the OOT, which is a nice round number to be used as a promotional material.

If they are going to release the OOT, it makes sense that they do it in 2015, if we don’t hear anything about it in few days, I think we will not be getting it until the new trilogy is completed, or maybe never.

I'm glad things lined up for me to A) Happen to hear that a livestream of the panel was about to start, and B) Be in a position to sit down and enjoy it.

It was pretty fun! I'll be watching the teaser tonight when I'll be in front of my TV, not a YouTube stream.

My stance on revising fan edits.

I hope this stuff will be archived, because there's no way I'm going to be able to watch all of it this weekend.

I gotta say, standing there at that panel watching JJ and Kathleen Kennedy and the cast and THE TRAILER was amazing.  I watched the trailer on my phone afterward and while it is still AMAZING to see, standing there freaking out with thousands of other fans also freaking out was an electric energy that I have yet to feel in my life until this day.

You not here Silverwook?

Nope. Sorry. I really wanted to, but I had to weigh the costs against things I need to spend money on elsewhere. If Celebration was a yearly thing like comic con, it would sting a little less.

I hate having to be a responsible adult sometimes. :(

I'm getting the feeling OOT will not be coming out for many years still. Disney will probably wait until after their new films are done, either to stretch out the lifespan of the series, or if nothing else as an insurance policy on their investment. Waiting until years later would also maximize their distribution rights.
