I've seen Twin Peaks.  I'm kind of curious what this 'Twin Peeks' is all about.

As excited as I am to hear this news, it still sucks that Don S. Davis, Jack Nance, and Frank Silva are all dead and Everett McGill is retired; their presence will be sorely missed.

As I said I have yet to make it to the end of the first season because I just started watching but that is a little creepy:)

The typo in the thread title is killing me.
I'm intrigued by a new series of Twin Peaks though.

 Sorry I have corrected it.

All I can say is that it was late and my meds had worn of and that is the type of mistake that I make when that happens.  I can't believe I made such a stupid mistake.

Sorry.

I am so excited about this.

So which Donna do you hope they will use? The one from the series, or the movie? Andy and Lucy's baby will now be 24 years old. And Josie is still stuck in a dresser knob.

It's OK, after thinking about it for a while, I decided to forgive you. XD

It really wasn't that big a deal, ya know.
Cool that ya fixed it, but you really don't need to be so hard on yourself.
You do seem to favor the dramatics, yeah?

Lets say Donna moved to Seattle and manages a rental car agency now.

Andy is now Sherriff, and his son is a deputy.

Harry lives in the woods now, writing erotica in a cabin with no power.

Leo reformed and is now a priest.

I usually go with the original actor in cases like these, but Lara Flynn Boyle has been distractingly hideous ever since she disfigured her lips with plastic surgery.

So yeah -- I'm going with the replacement actress all the way.

'Twin Peaks': Kyle MacLachlan Returns for Showtime Series

Kyle MacLachlan will return as Special Agent Dale Cooper in Showtime's 'Twin Peaks', set 25 years after the original series.

Showtime announced today during their TCA Winter Tour presentation that original Twin Peaks star Kyle MacLachlan will reprise his role as Special Agent Dale Cooper in the cable network's nine-episode limited series. The actor himself made a surprise appearance at the presentation, handing a cup of coffee to Showtime president David Nevins, while uttering one of Cooper's favorite sayings, "Damn good coffee." Here's what the actor had to say in a brief statement about returning to Twin Peaks.

"I'm very excited to return to the strange and wonderful world of Twin Peaks. May the forest be with you."

Kyle MacLachlan was rumored to return as Cooper back in October, when Showtime announced that the series will debut in 2016, 25 years after the show's brief run ended on ABC. No story details were revealed for the nine-episode series, and it isn't known if any other original cast members will be back as well. The original Twin Peaks series also starred Michael Ontkean, Mädchen Amick, Dana Ashbrook, Lara Flynn Boyle, Richard Beymer, Sherilyn Fenn and Peggy Lipton.

Original series creators David Lynch and Mark Frost are returning to write all nine episodes, with David Lynch set to direct the entire season. Production is scheduled to begin sometime this year, with the show set in present day, continuing the lore of the original series and providing long-awaited answers for the series' passionate fan base. Kyle MacLachlan most recently starred in NBC's short-lived series Believe, and he also had recent arcs on CBS' The Good Wife and ABC's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..

Take a look at Showtime's tweet confirming Kyle MacLachlan's return to Twin Peaks.

So it looks like FOX couldn't wait for the official return of Twin Peaks.

So instead, they let M. Night Shyamalan make this:

Well they tried ripping off Twin Peaks once with David Tenant and it died, I think this will go over about as well.

Does anyone think of MNS as anything other then a joke at this point?  How does this guy keep getting work when everything he makes bombs?

Dear Facebook Friends, Showtime did not pull the plug on ‘Twin Peaks.’ After 1 year and 4 months of negotiations, I left because not enough money was offered to do the script the way I felt it needed to be done. This weekend I started to call actors to let them know I would not be directing. ‘Twin Peaks’ may still be very much alive at Showtime. I love the world of ‘Twin Peaks’ and wish things could have worked out differently.

We were saddened to read David Lynch’s statement today since we believed we were working towards solutions with David and his reps on the few remaining deal points. SHOWTIME also loves the world of ‘Twin Peaks’ and we continue to hold out hope that we can bring it back in all its glory with both of its extraordinary creators, David Lynch and Mark Frost, at its helm.
