I think you're just imagining things...

I have no choice but to imagine, since the picture isn't working. :p

I wonder if it's meant to depict a quiet moment after the medal ceremony where she can finally grieve for Alderaan.

Thanks to that post, I consider nonsense DE's favorite style of posting.*

I take it you favour blue?

I don't know what that's supposed to mean.

Blue is the colour between violet and green on the optical spectrum of visible light. Human eyes perceive blue when observing light with a wavelength between 450 and 495 nanometres. Blues with a higher frequency and thus a shorter wavelength gradually look more violet, while those with a lower frequency and a longer wavelength gradually appear more green. Pure blue, in the middle, has a wavelength of 470 nanometres. In painting and traditional colour theory, blue is one of the three primary colours of pigments, along with red and yellow, which can be mixed to form a wide gamut of colours. Red and blue mixed together form violet, blue and yellow together form green. Blue is also a primary colour in the RGB color model, used to create all the colors on the screen of a television or computer monitor.

I swear I can predict a good 78% of your posts before you make them.

On the very tiny chance you actually didn't understand what I was saying, I'll clarify - I fail to see how your blue comment had any relevance to what I was saying.

My unpredictability has become predictable. This shames me.

Unfortunately, my tanto's with the cleaners, so I can't commit seppuku until tomorrow morning.

I posted an image of Leia on a red background and insinuated red was her favourite colour. Your response was mildly antipathic. Therefore, I ran with the idea that you do not like red as Leia's favourite colour, that you prefer another colour as her favourite. I then chose to mention blue as an alternative due to the fact that blue is a more popular colour than red and is indeed often considered red's opposite (though, scientifically speaking, it isn't).

Or, to put it in visual terms:

I'd title the piece, "Time For Our Sorrow"

^Not pretentious enough. Translate it into French, though, and it'll be perfect.

Turns out the real title is, "Tears for Alderaan." Eh.

I have to say I really like that artwork of Leia. I'd take one as a poster :)

Wow, now that's a whole lot of Legos to make that Death Star! I've always thought Legos were awesome and perhaps it's about time I visit Legoland, especially with all of the Star Wars themes they're putting on display too - 2 interests in 1 ;) Has anybody else been there?

That reminds me of this fan-created, incredibly accurate looking, Lego AT-AT.

It's really too bad it did not quite pass to become a purchasable set. I was seriously considering buying it if it did. I guess it would've been too expensive for it to be worthwhile to market?

So that was a funny coincidence. That painting got me pondering Leia's grief over her home planet and then shortly thereafter I find that the latest offering from Marvel is dedicated to that very same subject.

Speaking of which, they're still doing quite a number of variants for these Star Wars comics. While deciding on what cover to use in my review of the issue, I went with one that I felt really embodied the spirit of the story.

But I have to say, I really dug this one:

The original Marvel run did touch upon Leia's internal thoughts on Alderaan.

Where were you in '77?

I really love Alex Ross' take on Star Wars. I hope someone gives him the opportunity to paint an entire comic someday.

Look out, white clothed person! An incredibly fake illustration of the Millennium Falcon and obviously photoshopped flames are about to squash you!

...sorry, I couldn't resist...or that that pic seriously :P

edit: look at the right of the ship. Notice how poorly edited the falcon is to that image...

FAIL!
