Where were you in '77?
The main thing pushing me to see the trailers and the actual movie as soon as I possibly can is because this thread is going to explode whenever video content is released and it'll drive me crazy not having seen it when everyone else has. Otherwise I'd probably end up seeing the movie three weeks after its release.

Honestly, I was never really bothered by the lens flares. I don't really want TFA to be full of them, but I imagine they'll be toned down a bit compared to J.J.'s Star Trek movies.
All these fake trailers and images all over the internet are getting out of hand.
I really hope we see NO lens flares and LITTLE TO NO modern cinematography, though I guess if these end up being my biggest complaints about the teaser than that wouldn't really be a bad thing.

The one thing I want is for it to at least maintain some sort of continuity with the OT, visually. The last thing I want is for it to have shaky cam, lens flares, and orange and teal color grade.

Looks 'shopped to me (the neck and chin don't seem to naturally interact with the shirt), although it could just be the low-quality giving that appearance.
A friend came across this and thought it might've been legit, but seeing as how there's no talk about this online, I'm assuming it's a fan made trailer? There's a couple of shots that look like they're from the OT that I think clearly indicate it's bogus.

Yeah, it's a fake, but a pretty good one. I liked that they snuck Lando's voice in there.

nope. since star trek has 10 minute trailer, that set the new bar. accept nothing less.

Correct, it was on LieMax Hobbit. i dunno, its obviously too much to ask for them to show an entire sequence like they did for Dark Knight - maybe for Epsiode VIII they can do it. Just still think 88 seconds is excessively short. All a teaser needs to do is set the premise and the tone of the movie. The teaser for XMEN DOFP was one of the best I have seen in years. I found out later on that the music used was actually cliche and also used in inception and sunshine, but man it moved me.
actualy starting to get more interested in the teaser poster. There have been a few movies wehre I thought the teaser poster was better than the release poster. AOTC was one, KOTCS was another.

Really hope to see Leia as a Jedi in this thing. I always thought that she was going to be badass in RotJ after Yoda talks about another in ESB and then was totally disappointed that she just wants to be held for most of RotJ. Another thing I'd like to see is Luke seeing apparitions of his father like he did Obi-Wan after he died. I think that would be an interesting concept. And I wonder if Han will die like Harrison Ford thought he should have in RotJ.

Incorrect. A teaser is supposed to do exactly what the name suggests—tease the audiences and generate interest. A trailer is what gives a more detailed idea of the film's plot and/or characters. Personally, I'm happy we're getting a teaser trailer that is even this long.

On the train to Boston for the most local theatrical "premiere"! Watching it on a computer just wouldn't cut it versus a theater experience. Plus, that means I'll see it slightly before the internet release! The first movie here is at 10.
