A few weeks ago my little sister who is 14 went to a sleep over party at a friends house and she came back complaining about this movie they watched that all the girls and the parents thought was so romantic,it took me a few minutes but I finally figured out she was talking about Grease.  She complained that she was the only person there who hated it and her reasons were the exact same ones you just listed!:)

Talk about a small world.

This is one of those days when Amazon will not load on my internet connection and I have no idea why.  My internet connection is always this slow but for some reason some days amazon will load just fine and on others it will just refuse to load.

Not a big deal but it is confusing.

The message of the movie is that woman should just do whatever men want and not think for themselves,that's pretty sexist if you ask me.

Also if you have to not think about a movie for it to work then the movie has failed. The problem is not with the viewer it's with the writers and film makers who should have given some degree of thought to what they were putting on screen.

If a 14 year old girl can spot the problem then there is no excuse for a highly paid writer and director who worked on the project not spotting it.

If you like it good for you but that doesn't mean the message is not there or it is a good message and people should not be required to become brain dead in order not to spot the message.

In fact if you do have to stop thinking about it to not get the message then the message is there you are just choosing to ignore it in order to enjoy the movie.

Now there is nothing wrong with that at all but there is also nothing wrong with people who spot the message and don't enjoy the movie because of it.

 Perhaps some people take the movie too seriously? Hot rods do not go flying off into the sky in real life. ;)

I can't stand the beach.  I feel like I am alone in this but I never have any fun when I go there.

The logical fallacy commonly called CHERRY PICKING does not mean simply  selecting data that proves your point. Saying "I got death threats, look at all these horrible death threats" is NOT cherry picking.

Cherry Picking means to selecting data that proves your point and ignoring data, usually a lot of data, that is contradictory. The claim of cherry picking doesn't even make sense rhetorically. 

The statement "Threats of violence and rape are the only messages on twitter" would be a claim that would be supported by a cherry picking tactic. 

Watching these assholes, I'm less upset by them being assholes, and more upset by their abuse of academic language. 

The Feminist Frequency lady uses extremely academic style language 90% of the time, but the dudes who try to tear her down try to use it, and it's like a monkey trying to build a rocketship after looking at a drawing of one. There might be certain similarities, but it doesn't fly. 

I have no idea what #Gamergate is and I'm torn on if I should Google it or not.
