I tried going through page 1 of this and no images loaded. That it made it hard for me to figure out what you guys are doing. Is there a decent FAQ of particular post that can explain what you are doing, how and the progress?

50G versions? That could fit on a 64GB USB flash drive.
They are quite small and lightweight now. Still a little pricey but it would be the ezast thing to ship.
I bought a 64Gb flash for my girlfriend last October. It cost me £12. My mate said to me after, that anything above 32Gb in flash form is currently unstable and could loose its data. My GF stick still works fine.
My GF still works my stick fine!

Currently working on: Red Dwarf Night 10th Anniversary V2.

There are pictures and videos posted by Team members that are more recent starting from page 10 of this thread:

http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Team-Negative1-The-Empire-Strikes-Back-1980-35mm-Theatrical-Version-Release-Details-and-Updates/topic/16108/page/10/
The pictures are usually lower quality previews.
The videos are all 720p and 1080p, and are from scans made from 3 different prints with reels from Kodak and Fuji.
Currently we are evaluating a low fade Fuji print, and possibly an LPP for the 16mm and 35mm versions.
We'll have more to report once we have some definite samples.
Our scans are made with a custom rig and range from 2k-4k, downsampled to 1080p. We have our own dolby decoder to convert the sound from the prints.
This is purely a fan based preservation, and restoration project with no commercial involvement, or plans. We are privately and self funded and are not publicly known, with no plans to be.
All our material is for historical and educational use.

Booerns!
These are some observations from viewing the new Fuji print of ESB
================================================
Reel 1
=============================
Damage at the head
Slightly brighter right edge - bleed through of a yellow border.
Starfields have a blue tint
It looks like there are brown and yellow grain spots on the scenes with snow.
The grain is lot heavier on this print than the Kodak SP print.
Some of the snow scenes have some blue tint in them.
Scene with Leia and shield doors closing looks reddish.
Luke and Ben scene in the snow is bluish.
Medical droid scene looks very red when Luke is pulled out.
Reel 2
=============================
Some slight damage at head of reel.
Snow speeder battle is very good.
There are some reddish pink areas in some of the explosions from the effects shots.
Skies have a natural blue look.
Matte lines are visible in effects shots.
Scan lines and holograms look great.
R2D2 has black panels once they are in space leaving Hoth.
Interior shots of Millenium Falcons cockpit,look reddish/yellowish for the effects shots or are saturated.
Tie Fighters are a nice dark shade of blue.
Canyon chase scene has bright explosion.
Reel 3
=============================
Brief damage at head of reel.
Lukes scene landing on Dagobah look dark, and have a reddish tint.
Darth Vaders 'egg' looks yellowish, not white
Millenium falcon cockpit scenes look saturated.
Smoke, fog looks very good.
Holograms look good.
Original Emporer looks clear and sharp.
Initial scene in Yoda's hut has a reddish tint to it
Yoda training scenes with Luke are reddish at times.
Damage at tail end of reel.
Reel 4
=============================
Slight damage at header of reel.
Light saber colors in the cave look good.
Interior scenes with Millenium Falcon look saturated.
Cloud city skies look orange.
Cloud city hallways and lighting look orange.
Ben's ghost looks very good.
Reel 5
=============================
Some damage at header.
Some weave during the first few scenes.
Cloud city walls look very good.
Darth Vader scenes, and boba fett look like correct colors.
Smoke and particles in the freezing chamber look natural.
Lots of grain in cloud scenes when Luke is flying into cloud city.
Carbon chamber scene has lots of great looking orange and blue shades.
Lots of grain on walls scenes when Luke is walking through corridors.
The duel scene looks spectacular for the carbon chamber scenes.
Lightsaber colors are very vivid.
Light damage at end of the reel.
Reel 6
=============================
Some damage at header of the reel.
Some light weave during the reel.
The continuation of the light saber duel looks great.
Laser blasts and smoke particles look good.
When Vader asks Luke to join the dark side, the scene is very sharp and clear looking.
Interior scenes with the falcon need to be adjusted.
Blue tie fighters and green laser blasts are fine.
Starfields look good.
Final credits have correct look and colors to them but need cleanup for dirt and scratches.
Overall
=============================
Basically, this print is the best quality we have seen so far.
------------------------------------------------------------------
There is minor damage on the heads of most of the reels.
Various scenes are overly saturated, but that can be corrected easily.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Other scenes, have a blue, or red tint to them. I doubt the original looked
like this when projected, or else we've been seeing a very different looking
film than this one.
------------------------------------------------------------------
The amount of grain is more than the Kodak in some places, however there
are other scenes that are very sharp, and rival the bluray in detail.
------------------------------------------------------------------
There is a light weave through the entire film, this can be corrected
by stabilizing it later on.
------------------------------------------------------------------
We will definitely be using most of this print as the basis for the final
version, unless a sharper version with higher quality shows up.
------------------------------------------------------------------
The sound is complete, and there do not appear to be any frames missing,
if there are, we will replace them from other sources. Also, there are clicks,
pops and some crackle, so those will have to be fixed also.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Good to be able to add this resource to our library of prints.

Great news on the print! Is it possible to see video of some of the scenes with the blue/red tints? The underlined statement has me very intrigued!

Frink, I like you, but knock this off. What difference does it make at this point?

He likes 'em runny. Nothin' wrong with that.

It makes no difference. I just think it's hilarious that the team continues to insist he's no longer involved in the project, and yet he can't help but post in a way that makes it clear he is still involved.
But don't worry, I still like you too.

This looks great. That red-brownish grain gives off a certain warm and antique feeling.
That red-brownish color is only there because the print has faded. It's not really supposed to look like that.

Great news on the print! Is it possible to see video of some of the scenes with the blue/red tints? The underlined statement has me very intrigued!
This is a very subjective issue. Obviously the film has a type of fading that causes certain scenes to fade differently from other scenes.
From cinch:
color have faded and, depending on density of the stock, will have faded differently from shot to shot, note the scene when the power generator gets blown up.
Also from : http://www.afana.org/preservation.htm
Fuji Color: Stable, but slightly shifts toward blue. Made from the 1970s, its dates are coded between sprockets by year, not Eastman symbol. Older Fuji tends to turn purplish
Fujicolor has the tendency to degenerate into 'fujirot' which are colored dots that appear all over the emulsion. Cause is unknown but it might be either bad processing and storage or an inherent flaw with the stock itself since the same phenomenon is rare on Eastmancolor stock.
We are indeed seeing this happen.

Now this one heavily red tinted, as oposed to the earlier scan which was very green. One thing is clear though, the bacta tank is not the opaque cyan encountered in official releases of ESB and Luke's skin tone is not drowned out by the water.
Here's my colour adjustment of the screenshot based on what Ive gathered from previous sources. I also posted on another thread.
Here is a partially corrected shot from the earlier Fuji version:

We will get back to posting some comparison shots and previews shortly. Will be interesting to compare our original faded versions to these new ones.

We hope to have some interesting news related to this soon. Stay tuned for details. We are currently in discussion and planning right now.
Update: We will know more over the weekend. Happy holidays.
