I didn't know they would be a 2.0 of Empire DeSpEd. I just came back to this forum yesterday.

I meant to say "this" forum. I have fixed my error.
So is this release going to have a ton of different audio choices just like the Star Wars Despecialized did? That was just one thing I really loved about that version.

Yeah - perhaps not quite as many but still a lot.

Will there be a isolated score? Really loved the one on SW 2.5. Sounded amazing.
Thanks again for getting this to us.
I don't think I currently have one but if someone sends me one in the next couple of days, I'll definitely include it.

ABC did a fantastic one for DJ's "ESB Imperial Edition" that I can send to you (16 bit wav PCM with nfo file for credits). It contains the unused music on Hoth and in other places.
Edit: I got ahead of myself. Someone else will have to do that, as I just remembered I'm currently staying at a location with a terrible upload speed and can't upload a 1 Gig file.
Star Trek: The Motion Picture DE - The Anti-DNR Fanedit
Duel (1971) - The Hybrid Cut
The Phantom of the Opera - 1925 Version Reconstruction - Rare Scores Collection - Roy Budd Score
It has to be GOUT synced though!
It is. It's synced to a black and white version of the V3. It's on the 'spleen as "ESB IMPERIAL EDITION" if someone cares to download it and demux the audio.

You know what? I wasn't going to do this, but since I have the most recent version of ABC's score restoration, I'm going to assemble a GOUT-synched isolated score from that, starting right now.
The sound quality of his latest effort is better than what's on the existing edited version, so it will be worthwhile. Assuming I don't run into any unexpected difficulty, it shouldn't take long to complete.
35mm stereo mix is now finished, aside from final quality check.
That's great! Thanks!

Fantastic! my favorite SW score by far, and I think it's one of JW's best ever.

Dang. You are dedicated. That's great! Will you edit the cues to the existing ABC isoscore (he tried to keep them similar to how they were composed) or to how they appeared in the final movie?

Okay, really excited about the isolated score track!
“That’s impossible, even for a computer!”
I'm keeping them as close to how they were composed as I can, within the limits of what can be done while maintaining synch to the picture. I'm making an effort to avoid rough/jarring edits if at all possible.
I've already managed to get the probe droid launch and imperial fleet cues synched up—given the extreme changes in timing from the final film for those scenes, editing them to match up while still sounding musical was no easy task, I can tell you. But they came out better than I expected, so I'm happy. I just realized that ABC's tracks seem to be running at too slow a speed compared to the film itself, so I'll have to account for that in order to keep everything lined up.
Edit: looks like the speed issue is more complicated than I thought, so it's gonna have to be corrected manually for each cue. Dang . . . well then, Elastic Audio, here I come.
Meanwhile, last night, I edited the 2004 DVD and 2011 BD commentaries to synch with ESB Despecialized - I managed to only lose a short Ben Burt comment during the added Cloud City approach CGI shots in the '04 commentary and keep everything else intact (although it means that the sound of the movie in the background of the commentary is occasionally out of synch with the picture during the scenes that were altered but over-all, I thing it works really well. I also edited the 1993 commentary to fill the silent parts with the 1993 stereo mix, so everything will be like in SW v2.5, except I unfortunately still don't have the 2004 web commentary, which I did have for Star Wars but I guess it's not that big of a loss, though it would be nice for the sake of completeness.
Wow, Harmy, I didn't realize you were so close to releasing this!
And it's great to hear the news about the audio tracks!
Harmy said:
Nooo! Now that hairy_hen is nearly finished with the audio tracks, I will have Empire v2.0 out as soon as I get the tracks from him and you will have wasted a DVD9 disc, because this new version is just so much better than v1.0 it's not even funny...
Huh?

Probably both at the same time.
