Shallow Ground (2004)
The story and acting's kind of uneven and the ending is ... odd ... but the plot is a rather original one, so I give it kudos for that.

The Golden Child (1986) - 8/10
The Magic Sword (1962)
I watched this movie through MST3K, so I suppose I've got to give two ratings for both the movie and the episode it's featured in.
Rating #1: While being rather lame with some crappy writing and acting, it isn't a horrible movie. Basil Rathbone certainly gives a good performance with what he has to work with.
5.5/10
Rating #2: I haven't seen many episodes of MST3K, but I've certainly gotten lots of enjoyment from those I have seen -- except this one. I guess the movie just wasn't bad enough to mock properly, because most of the humour just fell flat.
6/10
Geoul sokeuro AKA Into the Mirror (2003) - 7/10
The Straight Story (1999)
I put off seeing this film because I wasn't very interested in seeing a Lynch film that wasn't surrealistic and bizarre. Having finally watched it, I can't help but kick myself in the head for having deprived myself of what is without a doubt one of Lynch's best movies; I doubt even Frink would hate this one.
It's just a shame and a crime that Richard Farnsworth lost the Oscar to Kevin Spacey for his role in American Beauty; Spacey's performance was shit compared to Farnsworth's.
