I noticed how often the site was down the other week when I had a bad chest infection and I was pretty much glued to my computer and phone 24/7. It goes down 2-3 times a day minimum. Very irritating when you get an email notifying you of a new post but you can't view it. Hope Jay can sort it soon :)

It's happened to me before too but when I went back to the previous page, the text was still in the reply box.

Ah, that explains it.  Although you're very busy with various things, I'd been wondering why you hadn't gone into some of the various queries to your last couple of clips here this last while.

It's certainly frustrating to lose a lengthy post like the ones you sometimes give us.  I know, having done so on a few occasions myself!  Until it looks like things are more stable, perhaps you can find time to fit in short, separate posts to cover some of the things you intended to reply to instead?

It's not ideal I know, but at least when a short post (or pm) gets 'lost' when I send it, I don't feel the need to chew my own leg off anymore...

By the way, I was sorry to see that it looks like we just missed out on a new clip the other day, but I love the model pics I've seen on the facebook page recently.

Yeah that site down issue has happened to me loads of times.. It is a frustrating issue.

Looking at the great new model pictures and without trying to assume anything what so ever but my hunch is that the CGI falcon in the Asteroid canyon shot's will be replaced with the model that is being built. And if that is the case hat's off on that one. But like I said I don't want to sound like I am putting words in anybodies mouth but that was the first thought that sprang to mind and Ady dropped the hint in the comments that "I am still working on ESB" so I kind of drew some conclusions from that statement that this could possibly be the case?

If people still donate before the runners up draw coiuld that still get the clip released? If so please announce that because I really wanted to see the next clip too what ever it was planned to be. and I may make a small donation to drop it down by one less.

No I don't think he's doing that. If I recall, the Falcon is for the new Echo Base set he's building to replace some dodgy mattes. I think the CG falcon in that asteroid sequence looks fine. Really seamless.

It looks fine, I'm just wondering If It could look better with the model. But I am not complaining. The most important thing is the next clip and the rules to getting it released.

I've been kicked off Yahoo numerous times after writing a lengthy email.  If I intend to write a large email or post on any site now I just write it in word then just copy and paste it-that way if something goes wrong when I send or upload I can just re-paste it and try again.

I'm guessing you've just noticed the other forum issue - that if we copy and paste from word or similar, that happens! ;)

I don't know if this has been addressed before but I just noticed that when 3P0's head hits this light, it moves to the side, which gives it a cheap movie-set look. If it's deemed worthy of fixing, it should be a fairly easy fix:

Hey Ady, I asked this question a while back but it got buried since then, but were you still going to do work on the shadow of the Falcon during the Asteroid chase? It still appears to be a simple circle, and if I'm not mistaken, I recall you once saying you would make it more detailed.

I thought it would have been - just thought I'd make sure :-)

You can check for yourself, in fact. One of the older trailers show that it is. :)

Will it come with orginal on top like we all saw in the clips ? Or can that be turned off in the final version ?

That's just so people can quickly see the changes to the preview videos. As far as I know, there will not be a full version of the movie with the original (which original?) on top.

Yep, the actual movie will occupy the entire screen. Hopefully as a special feature, though, we'll be treated to a "split screen" option so the enthusiasts like myself can notice and appreciate even more everything that's been done - that and show off to friends/family "See! That is the official Blu-Ray version and there is the Revisited version.. I know! Now you understand why I kept harping about Revisited." ;)

On ANH:R there was an option to have text on screen that pointed out most of the changes - it was a great feature!  The split screen is nice for shorter clips, but I would prefer the full screen with text for the full length film if Ady is going to do that again.

I have a feeling adding an alternate split screen version might push the size up too far, as it would necessitate more than one version of the film on the disk (whether it's a small 'picture within picture' version, or a full split screen version). I suppose one thing Ady could potentially utilise if Blu-Ray authoring allows it is an 'interactive mode', where in key scenes that have had the most changes it would tell you to press a button on your remote to see a VFX breakdown. That'd be cool.

I liked that feature a lot in the ANH:R too. I was thinking, though, since the editing in ESB:R has become far more ambitious than the ANH:R dvd, it'd be too time-consuming to list even half the total changes in text. That's why I thought "split screen" would be easier, but maybe not if it isn't technically possible to put on disc without requiring a whole lot more extra space (I don't know).

So as much as it'd be nice to have a side-by-side comparison of the completed Revisited to the blu-ray feature, it may have to be enough to just play separate discs at the same time on a computer. Plus, with the remaining OT films more than likely requiring more edits than ESB:R, including chopping/rearranging/adding scenes (let alone the complete alteration of the prequels), it may even actually be impractical (and a big headache for Ady) to continue this sort of changes feature on disc. Unless, he simply imports his "general" list of changes from these forums, with a nice background and scrolling feature - I'd be happy if that's the best we get :)

Without trying to sound bad I really liked the PDF file comparison file that anotatef changes and showed still images brcause it encouraged rewatching the film to take note of the changes descibed. But i honestley don't care for anything kver complicated and time consuming we have to appreciate how much goes into doinv this project.

So I made a small donation not because i wanted the new clip relessed but because i want to support the project but i really think with things like facebook likes 67.000 of them emphasises a flippancy of a sort. anyway don't forget that people support the project and really look forward to it and want to give as much support as they can but don't be disallusioned by facebook there is a very real amount of suppkrt but a number like that does not mean you really have that much support but there are a lot of people that should give support when a request is made because some cost obviously needs covering. Ady does not ask unless it is nedded I don't think he is that sort of person.

But anyway I think that is facebook for you.

I think this is the most polished yet, good luck Adywan.
