Would be nice but I don't plan on living in this house but so long. Would be a paint over again when trying to sell it. Besides they are actually more grayish than they appear. :)

anyway, sorry -1, was just going with the flow. I'm looking forward to more video clips. Especially anything you might have at 1280p.

No problem. I'm not "-1". This is the team replying.

Don't you mean 1080p.

More comments about the clips are welcome, before we post more.

Thanks.

New samples look GREAT.  It's amazing to see my favorite movie look like *film*.

Oh I know. Just used -1 as a quick way to reply...so quick I failed to noticed I had 1280x1024 on the brain instead of 1080p. LOL. ugh.

I was on that separate forum before it went down, but anyway I suppose I should say a little something.

The main thing I noticed were the white dust particles. Although not terribly heavy..somewhat noticeable. Although, without going back through all the posts I'm sure it's been addressed. I also noticed very little clarity in the 720p and 1080p clips so far which has me concerned somewhat, but I remember seeing a post from -1 ages ago it would seem that says the film is released at 1080p it will blow us away with the crispness. That's kind of what I'm looking for.

I'm not noticing any coloring issues to speak of..that all looks fine. And it seems the image stabilzation is pretty good also.

Here's a continuation of the clip with R2D2 and C3PO in hiding.

The clips are compressed twice or maybe more, by us and the site.

Also, they will be 1080p, and clear, but don't expect them to be as clear as the bluray sources.

Wow the sound in that last clip was really interesting is that from the print?

No. The original sound is a Spanish track. This is a temporary one.

Interesting. It's weird, I just did a comparison of all of the different tracks.

The stilt legged creature makes a noise as it walks across the screen in that scene in all of the dubbed versions but only in the mono and 2004/11 SE mix for the English mixes. Not sure about the '95 Faces or original '97 SE mixes as I only have those on VHS and no longer own a VHS player.

Regardless of the sound the clip LOOKS AMAZING!  This is everything I would hope for from an official bluray release from a professional restoration.

I have seen both this and the new Empire clip and there is something very weird with the picture. I don't know the correct English terms right now, but the bright parts are too bright (all the bright parts actually "meld" into white) and all the dark parts are basically black.

Seriously not sure how much longer I can wait for this project.

Honestly though, excellent work, I love all that grain and stuff that makes it look like an actual film instead of those scrubbed prints.

Yeah, pittrek's right - I really hope the blown-out whites are just a mistake in the color correction and not actually a part of the scan.

We have not done color correction yet. But will look into those issues. We can check it against the original versions.

Also, we will be doing limited rescans and shot replacements for certain problematic areas. This is still a preview.

Quick question that I might of missed, does your scan have sub-titles for Greedo?

I figured out a way to keep Laserschwert's fades. I will also make them a bit less blurry. As to the gate weave, I didn't notice before, that Laserschwert already added some and I added more on top of it, so I will make another version and post it probably tomorrow.

We have separate scans of the Greedo, from other Kodak prints and more.

It was spliced into the Spanish print.

Just asking as I have an Adobe Encore file ready with multiple text subtitle tracks, otherwise i'd have to do some trickery with the official Blu-Ray rip to get a subtitle less scene, but thankyou.

Looking superb! You know what all these clips are geek-torture - to see it looking like film again & then for it to stop after a short period is hell hahaha! I'd love to have a copy of the film(s) prior to cleanup & stabilisation too - that'd approximate the condition Star Wars was in when I saw it in a double-bill with Empire in 1980 (it had seen better days!) ;)))
