It weighs 148lb., but it doesn't hurt my eyes like my 1080p LG LCD TV does.

I have a 23 inch Dell monitor I watch HD on.

What I have is more like a souped-up living room, rather than a dedicated home theater.

I'm watching on a 50" Panasonic P50G10, connected to a Panasonic DMP-BD80 Blu-ray player. My sound: Yamaha RX-V663 with Klipsch Quartet 5.1 sound.

Unfortunately, due to my living room layout, I sit about 12 feet from the screen, though sometimes (when the wife's not around) I pull up the sofa to about 6 feet.

1080p.  sound is just some cheap speakers.

Most of the time, I'm watching on a tiny 17" monitor and listening through audiophile headphones, but on occasion I will watch in my "souped up living room" - 56" 1080p flat screen hooked up to a custom built surround sound system. It gets the job done. :)

I agree actually. LCD and PC gives more eye strain and far quicker than my CRT.

Currently I flop between my dedicated setup which has a 36" Sony Trinitron CRT flat panel connected to LD composite and PS3 via component. My sound goes to my Sony STR-DE675 multichannel receiver (100 watts per channel) and goes to a Klipsch sound system (KG.5 bookshelf speakers for L/R and surrounds, KV-1 center and 8" SWV for subwoofer)

My PC setup is a midlevel Compaq PC which I use MPC-HC 64 bit and VLC for video, configured the realtek audio drivers correctly, and have a Logitech X-540 5.1 speaker set. The monitor is also a Compaq 16:9 lcd display which can do just over 720p.

Headphones are currently Sennheiser HD-202s.

My problem is that I get better sound on my main setup, but a more detailed picture on my PC. On almost all the OT projects I wind up watching on PC first to see everything, and later on the CRT for more of an experience factor.

Since my budget is pretty strapped at the moment, I've considered putting my tiny monitor on a stool in my little HT. ;) What I really need is a stand that can take the weight of my behemoth Sony which clocks in about 240 lbs. It's still on the floor as of now, which makes viewing angle a pain. (But not as bad as moving the thing up a flight of stairs!!)

Grundig Lenraro 28" sitting on a Samsung DVD5224 player (for the DVDs) and Sumvision Cyclone Primus for watching the preservations and fan edits.

I can't see the model from here but I have a JVC VHS Player (for a car) with dolby surround rigged up for watching tapes (well I have two actually, one is still in the box upstairs).

Don't know why I bothered about the sound as I have no room for a surround sound system.

I can only play Harmy's versions on my computer as they become out of sync on the Primus for some reason.

Audio processing causes a delay, so if your system has any dynamic room correction or other processing enabled, it'll throw the audio out of sync with the video.  Worth looking into at least.

I don't think anything like that is enabled but thanks for the heads up.

High def LCD television. I'm too lazy to check the brand, but there's no input lag on videogames, so it's top stuff in my book.

No surround setup (or even a 2.1 setup, just the TV's speakers). I'd kind of like to get one some time, but honestly, I've never been impressed by surround ever. The only time I ever notice it is in maybe 5% of movies when they use it to go "Check it out, this helicopter is flying past your head!" or in The Grudge where they made it sound like the ghost was making noises behind you.

My DVD player is XBMC on my XBox (not a 360, that's why I called it an XBox and not a 360). It can do standard def MKV files, but I'm sure it would struggle and sputter if I tried going higher def
