What an absolutely vile thing to say. I didn't know it was okay in this forum to make light of the harsh realities that sex work imposes upon those who have little choice in the matter.

Are you one of those folks who enjoys dishing out sex (most likely mixed with violence) to those who most likely do not want it, like it, or who've been enslaved since childhood to receive it? Do you think it's funny?

Doesn't mean I can't say it based on your feelings.

I thought Han already had a death warrant out on him and Vaders new Bounty was in conflict with the Jabba Bounty?

Jabba wanted him alive, hence Boba's line. Vader only wants to use Han and Leia to draw out Luke. He's willing to give up Han to Boba because he knows as long as he has Leia Luke will eventually come for her.

Come on people, let's get back to the topic at hand: incest and daddy issues. This is the ESB:R thread after all ;)

...

Ady posted on Facebook that he is currently low on space in his house due to working on Han in Carbonite... subtle little status update.

Preferred Saga:
1/2: Hal9000
3: L8wrtr
4/5: Adywan
6-9: Hal9000

Awhile back there was a drive encouraging everyone that "liked" the page to give one unit of currency.

If that happened now then Ady would net over 60,000 units of currency!  Certainly enough to pay for an addition to the house.

 Unless that currency is yen!

I tend to wonder if it might be better for everyone's sanity if Adywan worked on RotJ:R without ever posting a single update. :P

What he hasn't been telling people is that the "delays" on ESB:R are really just his way of getting ahead. He'll announce next week that ESB:R was finished in 2010, RotJ:R was finished in 2012, TPM:R and AotC:R were finished last year, and he's just polishing off RotS:R.

Well they should have got Tommy Lee Jones involved sooner to go after him then :)

No but seriously I think he must have been wanted dead or alive as Han also says "If I don't Pay off Jabba the Hutt I am a dead man" Boba line which Jaita has quite rightly pointed out could possibly mean that he was worth more Bounty alive than dead. I'm not changing my perspective as I prefer the darker gritty realism of my take it makes it better for me to see it this way. or if he does not pay up "Capture" or "Kill Him" which is evident in Greedo's scene. Anyway it matters not Dead or Alive Jabba does not seem to care much for others lives either. Otherwise it's a silly plot point if everyone want's him only captured alive, The dialogue is contradicting and it makes little sense.

Wait a minute.. I think that Boba fett line about "What if he does not survive..." If Boba cannot present Jabba with either an alive or normally dead version of Han he would struggle politically to claim the bounty. If Han dies in the Carbon freeze chamber it would be not through his doing and would be unable to claim any reward for this Bounty the only way he could get a bounty from Han would be dependent on him surviving the process and being allowed to take him incarcerated.

Oh please just give it a rest, Ronster. Boba can't kill Han. End of story. It's clearly stated he's worth a lot to him alive (and presumably less or nothing dead). He says "he's NO GOOD to me dead" so that indicates he doesn't get anything at all if he dies.

It doesn't undermine Han's "dead man" line at the start either. A gangster like Jabba might want him delivered alive so he can have the pleasure of watching him tortured/killed himself.

Please just drop it. There's so much of this sort of inconsequential crap cluttering up the thread. We're all guilty of it at some point, granted, but this is just too much.

As I said earlier people need to rewatch the film

No Arguments here J or Brash, I have always seen it that way that Vader was changing the method and stakes of an already existing Bounty so I am just questionable as you are coming from the way I have always seen it.

One thing that is one of the things that makes these movies quite special is how people can see things in different ways. Let's celebrate that and not argue about it :)

I am not discounting how you see it just because it's different and If I am seeing it wrong from your perspective then just leave me alone in that little Bubble then. No Issues here at all If you don't see it the same as I do I certainly don't feel heated about it.

No problem Ronster

....but do watch the film again in its entirety.....& with the volume up;)

I have a couple of questions for Adywan or anyone else that can answer:

1) in the scene where Han and crew are "hiding" on a Star Destroyer and about to float away as "trash," at some point Han says that "the fleet is beginning to break up" and there is a shot out of the cockpit window showing two star destroyers below.  These star destroyers look horrible and nothing like any other ones.  I am wondering if you plan on or have already fixed that?

2) Secondly, shortly after Vader contacts the Emperor via hologram he is shown talking with three officers via hologram as well.  These officers are very poorly composited and look even worse than Vader's hologram on the AT-AT.  Are you planning on enhancing these holograms?

Thanks to anyone that answers and good luck with the rest of the edit!

I really like your quote there :)

But yeah Boba never intended to kill Han, as some of you have already stated: "He's no good to me dead" (always loved that delivery) and "What if he doesn't survive? He's worth a lot to me". It's possible Boba could've gotten something from Jabba for a dead Han, but it would've been next to nothing (plus he would've missed out on another big pay, the "substantial reward" from Vader, let alone making Vader upset). Just like Greedo, I always imagined the Rodian wanting to take Han in alive for the bigger slice (since he NEVER took a shot at Han).

Side note: I'd enjoy possibly seeing "disintegrations" being used in the PT:R, or at least maybe the reference in a cool voice: "I will disintegrate you" (if there is a Fett still seen).

I would love to actually see Fett disintegrating someone in the PT so that Vader's line in ESB:R has some significance. I previously played around with the footage of him shooting that dart at Zam Wessel, but her death doesn't last long enough to showcase any sort of effect.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHHmM1nkjMA

I know it's awful, but it's literally my first and only foray into After Effects. The disintegrate effect shouldn't be so quick (I was constrained by the length of the shot and the lack of subsequent shots) and it would ideally be done in a way where the disintegration spreads outwards from the impact point - not move across in a straight line like mine did.

If Ady could choose a new character for Fett to kill (or film one) it could be done. Zam Wessel was a complete non-entity and served no purpose anyway.

We should probably take any further discussion to the Unofficial Revisited Saga thread, but the fact that the line in question is from ESB makes my post on-topic, I swear! ;)

Is there any chance, at this juncture, of having the Slave I go into cloaking device mode (like how it's done in Star Trek) at the end of his approach to the Falcon, to better explain why he wasn't detected when he followed Han all the way to Bespin? :)

I mean, since the technology was at least mentioned to exist, they could have least showed how it worked. Unless, the technology only hides the presence of a space vessel and not make it actually disappear, and this was what was demonstrated with Boba Fett's ship, anyway. I never really read any of the EU concerning the Slave I and so I don't know if they ever explained that it had a cloaking device. But it does make sense that he would, though. ;)

Personally, I've always thought of "cloaking" (at least within the Star Wars universe) to be just making your ship undetectable to the other ship's scanners rather than literally making it invisible.

In any case, it doesn't seem like something Ady would go for...I think it's been discussed before as well.

That's cool. I just figured I'd ask about it. I always figured the cloaking device in Star Wars was how you described it.

A cheeper Star Trek cloaking device could be.....to just paint your ship black:)
