Wow guys.  Way to needlessly gang up on a new guy who felt a video was worth its own thread.  Sheesh.

A Goon in a Gaggle of 'em

Could be worse...he could have gone on the  Off Topic boards.

I like the trailer I've seen others like it but it's probably the best so far, I would like to see someone do a whole film edit where Lynchian motifs were added but in a less obviously pastiche way.

The strobing Palpatine is in my opinion genuinely disturbing stuff.

It's neat, but it's just not Star Wars to me.

Keep Circulating the Tapes.

END OF LINE

David Lynch should never appear in the title of a thread that doesn't include "I Hate."

Well now I have to go make a new thread about it.

You should be trapped in the Black Lodge for uttering such blasphemy.

How do you search for old threads anyway?

I don't see a search engine widget on the forum page...

EDIT: Based on the "Feature Request" forum, it was removed.

So how are you going to fault this guy for not digging up an old thread?  In fact, doesn't this mean that once a thread falls off page 1, a new thread HAS to be started on that topic or else the user has to go page by page through the whole history in hopes that there MIGHT be a preexisting relevant topic?

We had a search function but it never worked properly I just add "site:originaltrilogy.com" to the end of a google search on whatever subject I'm looking up but I do also have a very good memory for old threads.

Well do not be so naive. It is not about the guy posting something that has already been posted. TV's Frink, for example, is a known troll and "already posted" was just a very convenient platform to exercise his hobby. :)

A normal person just ignores the thread if the topic was already posted.

Even if you have a great memory for old threads, you still need to search for them to locate which page they're on...

Ergo the solution I mentioned in the post you quote.

If you were to want to find out if there was a thread about Super Nintendo Super Star Wars you could try typing "SNES Super Star Wars site:originaltrilogy.com" into google and you would get...

The two most relevant threads were on page one.

TV's Frink, for example, is a known and respected member of the community who has contributed in many ways and is always willing to help out anyone who doesn't take themselves or this place too seriously.  In fact, he previously helped out the OP just one day prior to this thread being made.

Play nice, people, or do I have to lock this down?
