That sounds promising.

My favorite part of Rebels so far is that the inquisitor isn't a sith.

Still seems to be very WIP, and clearly is cropped from the full 2:35:1 aspect ratio.

Still too early to tell how this will turn out...

 I have a hard time believing that it was entirely their intentions.  Disney, I'm sure had some influence of sorts.

The more videos I see the less interested in this show I am. The characters seem too "disneyfied"

Could you show us, with screencaps, these childish curves?

I guess it's allright as long as you fear this stormtrooper.

Not to mention the lack of bump textures, nor grebble, it all looks plain as far as 3d models go.

Even here, while a classic angle from the movies, it's completely unjustified for a 3d animation series. I can understand there were issues with the perspective back in the 80's that made them force it in order to have an easier composition, but it's not the case today, and it's completely wrong to still have the TIE fighters be so big next to a cruiser.

It looks like Lego to me. It's a purely perceptive thing, and I can rationalise the reasons. I can even find graphical support to sustain what these images are telling me. And it will still look Lego and childlike to me.

No, that seems fine to me?

Make this exercise, put a little human figure next to the fighter acording to its dimensions, then move it to the bigger ship and you mighgt see that the fighter's too big, or the ship is too small.

As always seems to be the case with Star Wars new spaceships seem to be less inspired than they were 30+ years ago.

The new protagonist ship looks like another take on the Millennium Falcon like the Outrider from Shadows of the Empire.

The others just seem like ships from the prequels. Nothing that strikes the eye.

I think the ship carrying the two TIE Fighters is awesome. Reminds me of some of the things the Nazis did with their bombers carrying two or three fighter planes. And I see no scale issues. It's a small ship, probably smaller than the Falcon. Large enough for a few rooms, maybe a couple of extra crew bunks for the fighter pilots. It's an awesome idea for a small but effective scout ship, especially since TIEs don't have hyperdrives of their own...

As for the larger image with the star destroyers, again I see no scale issues. There is NOTHING in that image that acts as a point of reference for how close the TIEs are to the other ships. For all we know the fighters could all be much closer to the camera than the other ships.

And the truth is, scale was never all that strictly adhered to in the OT anyway. If you really start analyzing it, the scale of ships and vehicles totally falls apart. I mean, geez, the interior Falcon sets couldn't even fit inside the (unintentionally but severely undersized) "full scale" Falcon prop in ESB.

I'm actually getting excited for this. I agree that the characters might be a little TOO Disney-ified. But so far the over all feeling I'm getting is that this might be the first Star Wars media to really grab me and capture that classic Star Wars feel in years. I watched some of the character introduction videos and was actually interested! Something I can't say for any new Star Wars characters since I don't know when. That new Jedi guy sounds awesome. Very Kyle Katarn, who happens to be one of my favorite non-film Star Wars characters ever. So that's awesome!
