Isn't that a thick omelet with potato and cheese?
I knew he worked on The Dark Crystal, but I didn't realize he had worked with Kubrick. TDC was a good movie to go out on.
Where were you in '77?
Fred Phelps, founder of the Westboro Baptist "church" has died.

I wonder if there will protests at his funeral, as payback?
I say leave corpses alone and picket the lively.

As much as I'd support that, I very much approve of his dying, so no protest from me.

Its hard for me to imagine someone who opposed Fred Phelps has enough venom in their hearts to actually do that. It takes a LOT of hate to do that. Like, more hate than blood. Most people just don't have that much.
He certainly was generous with the stuff.
There's a lot to be said for taking the high road.
However, unless the grave is on private property, and watched 24/7, it's likely someone will sneak in and personally water it.

but not with water, right?

James Rebhorn, a great character actor just passed away at age 65.
The man has literally been in nearly every movie in my lifetime. It's sad to see a familiar face go.
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Well that is too bad:(
I didn't know she was that old. I think she did a pretty good job with the part she was given, let's face it the part wasn't very well written.
It seems like we have gotten to the point where every year we are losing at least one member of the Doctor Who family.
RIP:(

Well part of my heart just died:(
When I was a kid we didn't have a VCR and one of the few stations that would come in was PBS and at the time they played a lot of movies from the 30s-the 50s so I can honestly say I grew up watching a lot of his movies. In fact I clapped in the theater when his cameo came up in The Muppets a couple years back.
I have not felt this way since Bob Hope died.
He will be missed:(
Peaches Geldof 25.
R.I.P. Mr Rooney : ( You will be missed.
