Well it's ocarina of time for N64 for sure, unless it's master quest which is basically the same thing.

So if Nintendo were to approve a live-action The Legend of Zelda movie film, which games would be adapted and the reasons for your choice.
Myself A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening as it's a suitable two-parter. Ocarina of Time AND Majora's Mask are babby's foist Zelda game.

This would get my vote as well.
A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.
I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

I'd also say to get Weta involved in the works as well. Would be most triumphant.

Sure, anyone who's only reading this thread might think that.

I come from Ebaumsworld.
That guy has far too harsh a face to be suitable for playing Link. Jeepers.
Anyway, as evidenced by my avatar, I certainly like me some Zelda games. I've played Ocarina of Time more times than I can count—that and A Link to the Past are definitely the best designed and the most fun to play by far. I also like Twilight Princess a great deal, as it has the best story and characters of any of the series. Midna to me is the Zelda version of Mara Jade, so I love her dearly, but I find the end of the game so sad that it's hard to get through it.
The only handheld I've played is Link's Awakening, but it's been a long time since I don't own it. I can't stand the cartoonish graphics style of Wind Waker, and the gameplay of Skyward Sword is utterly terrible: not only that, SS doesn't even *feel* like a Zelda game at all; just some weird anime ripoff that suffers from Prequelitis of the worst sort. Not worth bothering with if you like stories that actually make sense.
Since most of the 'main' games in the series had interesting sequels, I'm still waiting for a kickass follow-up to Twilight Princess, so we can see where that version of Link went after he left home at the end. Doesn't seem like it's gonna happen, though.

I've never cared whether a game is 2D or 3D. In fact, A Link to the Past did the best job drawing me into its world. For example, I loved the foggy Lost Woods with the fitting music and the Master Sword deep inside. (the highlighting is a result of copy and pasting).

Agreed.

A Link to the Past for sure. It has the best story out of all the games in my opinion.
I love the idea of OOT and ALTTP as one big story. OOT flows into ALTTP perfectly.

Haven't a clue. I just found it while looking "annoying kid" up on Google Images.
The Zelda series is by far my favorite game series. Anyone else love Adventure Of Link? It's the black sheep, but it's one of my favorites.
I'll throw out my favorite titles. In no particular order...
LOZ, AOL, ALTTP, OOT, MC, SS
I still haven't played through The Wind Waker. Dunno why. Love the style, story and game play as far as I've played, just never finished. Other than that one, I've played through all of the official games except the DS ones and the remakes.
Also, anyone else hate the official timeline? Or ANY time line? I think of most of the games as a retelling of the same legend.

There are supposed to be different Links in different games, right? Each with the same name and basic physical appearance but living in different periods of time? Yeah, it's kind of dumb to fit them all into one history.
There's always been connections between the games. The back of A Link to the Past's box says that the game is about "the predecessors of Link and Zelda" and OOT is obviously the story of how Ganon was sealed in the Dark World. However, I do think that the official timeline went too far in connecting things. For example, Four Swords Adventures is inconsistent with the other games that involve Ganon(dorf).
The only way you could pull off a live action Zelda, is to get a teenager who could actually act to play link. Once you start getting forehead wrinkles and five o clock shadow, you are too far gone to make a convincing Link.
Give me a traditional animated film any day. CGI could really work as well, I just don't know if you could give Link things to say after all these years
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Has anybody else wondered about the history of the Shadow Temple? One of the voices says, "Here is gathered Hyrule's bloody history of greed and hatred." That makes me wonder if Ocarina of Time Zelda's ancestors weren't always the good guys.

Could have been infighting or rebellion among the peoples. Just saying "Hyrule" doesn't mean "The authority figures of hyrule". There are bad apples everywhere! Got one the other day, bag of fresh green granny smith apples and there was a yellow nasty apple in it. Bleck!
I toyed with the thought of A Link to the Future a while back, even though I hate the idea of Link being anywhere but a fantasy setting, I do think it's an interesting thought. The twilight realm in Twilight Princess had a very Tron like feel to it, so it is interesting. I made a concept a few years ago.
