The Zelda games arw my absolulte favorite video games, A Link to the Past in particular. It's fun to explore Hyruke and swordfight and Ganon(dorf) is an awesome character.

Ingo sucks
There's already a video game thread (no link 'cause I'm too lazy).
I'm going to ignore Ric2 and say how much I agree with DLOT on this. I actually got teary-eyed at points of "Link Between Worlds" because it gets almost every detail of the overworld from "Link To The Past."

Ocarina of Time actually does make me emotional, particularly toward the end of the game. Majora's mask is equally as good too in my opinion. And with an emulator with a decent texture pack running they don't even seem that dated, other than the sound effects (which I wouldn't want to change anyway)
I've played A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask. A Link to the Past didn't do much for me (the overhead graphics didn't appeal to me), but I loved Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask; if they ever make a movie(s) based on the franchise, I hope they use those two games as inspiration.
I've only played Link's Crossbow Training. Although It's not a true Zelda game, it's still fun and one of my favorite Wii games.

I've played every major Zelda game but Link's Crossbow Training and Skyward Sword (sense a pattern?). I do have a Wii U now, so I might pick up Skyward Sword.
Now, I'm not saying I've beaten every one though. I think I've only completed Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Link's Awakening, Minish Cap, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Link Between Worlds. I never could stick with the GBA and DS games long enough to beat them.

Actually, there was a fan movie of ocarina of time called "Hero of Time". From what I've heard, it is incredibly good for a fan-made movie, and the screenshots I've seen do have some pretty good cgi-work (for a fan movie that is), but it would still be disappointing since the story deserves a big budget movie.
A majora's mask movie would be amazing though. Or maybe a mini-series would be even better, with the repeating three days and whatnot.
Actually, OOT would be a good tv series as well. A dungeon an episode? It'd be hard to condense all the plot into a single feature.
A Link to the Past is my favorite video game. I've completed it way too many times (more than twenty, at least). I have it memorized. o_O
As you'd expect, I absolutely adore A Link Between Worlds on my 2DS.
A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.
I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

Agahnim and Ganon forever!
*Hey, Hey, LISTEN!
It is weird how the first time I played Ocarina of Time I hated the Water Temple but when I played it a while back it was the easiest of the Temples. Shadow Temple was so frustrating. I took me ages to kill that annoying boss with the disembodied hands and one eye... what was his name again?

Havent played on since Junior High, but Link to the Past was one of my all time favorites.

Honestly Ewan I have no idea what one of those are so stop asking :-D
I have played and beaten The Legend of Zelda, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening, The Ocarina of Time, and The Minish Cap. I have also played several others without taking the time to get very far. They are all such enjoyable games, and there's not a one I didn't get engrossed in. Even what many consider the odd duck, The Adventure of Link, was thoroughly engrossing (and frustrating) for me. Thank goodness I was playing on an emulator and could save my state instead of always having to go super far back every time I failed at some portion. Even then, it still was super hard and took a while to beat for me.
Anyone ever try out the CD-i rejects? I thoroughly enjoy the YouTube vids of the cinematic portions, which ultimately are the only value in those horrible games. Those cinematic scenes belong in the "So Bad It's Good" thread!
I still hope to beat Zelda II: Adventures of Link.
Probably the hardest game I've ever attempted.
My list of best Zelda's probably goes. Thought 1 and 2 are interchangeable
1.Ocarina of Time
2. Majora's Mask
3. Twilight Princess
4. The Legend of Zelda (The first I played, not that I'm old)
5. Windwaker
6. Adventures of Link
7. A Link To The Past
8. Skyward Sword (though fighting the imprisoned 4 times made kind of hate it, would've been top five without that)
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

I didn't have a SNES as a kid. I went from NES to N64. By the time I had tried A Link To The Past, my mind was already blown away buy Ocarina.

Well I can understand that, but there's just something mystical about a link to the past. Majora's Mask will always be my favorite though. It's so dark and creepy and creative and clever... I love the creepy factor of the whole thing.

Just curious, but do you smash his fingers and toes when you fight him? Most people who complain about the Imprisoned do it that way. (Hint: You're not supposed to bother with that!)

That's probably why I didn't like A Link to the Past all that much when I played it, either. As a teenager, it's hard to be interested in this
after first being exposed to this

How the hell did you get that giant skull thing to pop up? I've never gotten one THAT big... (insert somebody making a joke about me saying I've never gotten one that big out of context)
Also, I see what your saying, but the puzzles in ALttP are set up alot differently, it's unique and two different experiences.

LOL. This isn't a screencap from a game I've personally played; I found it on Google Images.
