What are you INDIFFERENT to in the EU?

Generally stories between AOTC and ROTS. The Clone Wars mainly.

At the beginning of ROTS, I have a hard time feeling Obi-Wan and Anakin went on that many unique and noteworthy missions in those three years. It's more like they did a bunch of everyday fighting. This might be because their personalities are exactly the same as in AOTC.

Ah... Clone Wars era stories. A mixed bag if ever there was one. Excepting the 2003 series, of course.

Someone edited that into a movie.

Episode II.V.

I'm well aware. I enjoy a nice cliffhanger once in a while.

I'll eventually find an edit you've never watched or so much as heard of.

Kreia. With every single Jedi becoming a Sith in the EU, she's right that the galaxy would be better off without The Force. However, I hate how her "Sith is an idea" comment gets parroted by fans who won't let the Sith die.

That depends on how you define "ambivalent". Properly defined, "ambivalent" means to have mixed feelings, but many use it as a synonym for "indifferent".

*Notices thread title change*

The use of people, places, or things from the PT as long as it doesn't turn into a prequelization clusterfuck.

The inevitable rebooting that will come with the ST's release.

Reminds me of the word "bemused". Means "confused", but the common usage is becoming "mildly amused". And to be honest that new definition makes sense.

The Clone Wars series for one. There is so much about it I like, but it has so many problems and inconsistencies with the movies as well.

Every ounce of it. I know almost nothing of the EU.

THRAWN  it's years since I read the Heir To The Empire trilogy, but he never made much of an impression with me. he certainly wasn't a villain I loved to hate. If Tarkin was a blue skinned pussy, he would be Thrawn

I would say that Thrawn is much more of a tactical genius than Tarkin. They are similar in some respects, but only superficially IMO.

Tactical genius sure, but i just didn't think he was a very compelling villain

Was he ever meant to be, though?

Have you ever been interested in looking into it? I read 'Heir To The Empire' back in 1991 or '92, but it didn't feel like Star Wars to me, so I never followed up. Even the cover was off-putting. I remember it was like a wizard with lasers shooting from his fingertips. (just looked it up and I'm not wrong!)

But I have been thinking about trying a few other EU novels to see if I can expand my Star Wars world. Currently it's the original film, Empire and a version of Jedi I have cooked up in my head (couldn't tell ya when the last time I watched Jedi was..)

If you consider Force lightning to be lasers, then yeah, you're not wrong ...

I think it looks cool.

Doesn't look like lightning to me. Just looks silly.

Still -- in-universe, in the book itself -- it's lightning, not laser bolts.
