Really creepy guy interviewing Carrie Fisher about Star Wars
Really creepy guy interviewing Carrie Fisher about Star Wars
Watching every motion in my foolish lover's game. On this endless ocean, finally lovers know no shame. Turning and returning to some secret place inside. Watching in slow motion as you turn around and say, take my breath awaaay. Take my breath awaaay
Someone in the comments said Carrie and the interviewer had good chemistry. I'm trying to see it, but I can't.
It's more like she's creeped out by his demeanor, but being polite.
I couldn't watch past the "I *heart* Uranus" bumper sticker. What happened?

I thought she handled herself incredibly well, considering how weird that guy was...

The guy went to Carrie's house and asked her some really awkward questions and said some awkward things about Carrie's boobs and stuff. Upon her statement that Boba Fett could see all the way to Florida when they were filming, the guy replied "I like Florida" in an unsettling manner. Anyway, I thought he was pretty weird.
Urrgh... sounds fitting for someone with that sense of humor. There's a definite line between "Celebrity Crush" and "Stalker with Issues". This guy sounds far on the other side of the spectrum.

Not sure I even want to click on that. Is there any context as to how this interview was arranged? It's disturbing to think some creeper can just knock on her door.

No, he bought her flowers, went to her estate/house, and said he was her biggest fan or some crap like that and asked for an interview. I'm sure she regretted accepting though.
EDIT: And you're probably just as well off not watching the video.
That should have set off all sorts of red flags right there.

I'm not sure what she was thinking letting a guy like that interview her but maybe she felt really, really lonely that day...
I was thinking the same thing. It's possible he was lying when he said he showed up unannounced.
You know, I distinctly remember hearing about some 80's star who went like this.
One day, a fan knocked on her door with flowers, and she answered, at which point the two carried a brief conversation. When it was over, he pulled out a gun and shot her dead.
There's far too many similarities.

The rise of internet journalism probably makes credentials a little hazy, but most celebs usually have someone who's job is to deal with interview requests.

"Bring back..." was a series of shows here in the uk hosted by comedian Justin Lee Collins. They were a bit of a piss take. Most of the stars were in on it and went along with the banter. It was all pre-arranged by Channel 4 but made to look like he just turned up in most situations, or stalked them.
Looks like the Brit beat me to the punchline! I remember when this was first posted here when the series was current.
For the record, she was obviously good-humored about it or she wouldn't have done this bit at the end of the program.
A Goon in a Gaggle of 'em
^Yeah, it really needs to be watched in context I guess. I watched when it was new and I thought it was really funny. Especially the bit with Carrie.
OK, that makes more sense. I was wondering why Carrie would ever agree to an interview with a guy like that. It still strikes me as being slightly creepy though, but not as much as if a random guy went up to her door and asked for an interview.
No fair. When I tried to interview her, she just screamed in my face, squirted pepper spray in my eyes, and kicked me in the cajones.
Of course, I did come to the door wearing a Ronald Reagan mask, a trench coat, and nothing else.
You should've used a Bill Clinton mask, obviously.
Brilliant show.....pity JLC has disappeared of our tellys (at present)
Check out 'Bring Back the A-Team'
....which undoubtably connected Channel 4 with Dirk Benedict for 'Celebrity Big Brother' in the UK.....still a cool guy

I think JLC was recently done for beating his missus up and some other weird marriage type things I think thats why he aint on british tv anymore.

Yes, the OP is actually bang on. The evidence presented at JLC's trial did indeed sound very creepy... plus he was a tw*t anyway ;-)
VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.
These interviews are extremely boring. They always repeat the same old stuff. At least this guy spiced it up a little.

Points for attempting to look like Benny off ABBA.
