Ah, yes! More AT-STs! But aside from that, the whole thing is nice. Well done!

You might have better luck using the whole "Steady, Rogue 3" line from the audio drama. The current edit is a bit jarring. Unlike the "Blast it, Wedge" line from ANH, this is two very different deliveries we're talking about.
I’m just here because I’m driving tonight.
OMFG ADY!!!!!!
Pretty sure I jizzed in my pants watching that new clip.
It's 1980 ALL OVER AGAIN!!!
This is TRULY what a Special Edition SHOULD HAVE BEEN.
It takes a real fan to do what you did there.
I find your lack of faith…disturbing
The new Vader hologram in that clip is fantastic. Even his gesture is now better than the old overly-sassy one. Great work Adywan!!
I love 'em Scout Walkers :-)))
so much going on, and now if you look out the cockpit windows it makes more sense ...

Visual continuity goes a long way towards telling a believable story. Even in the ESB days (long before they started phoning things in for ROTJ) you can see how things were just sloppily thrown together......the battle of Hoth, while iconic, is a great example of continuity being more or less ignored in the editing process.
Absolutely Muddy i think the new clip really helps as you say the continuity and i really like it especially the new cockpit shot so glad that this horrible footage got replaced and i like the audio change to the "rogue 3" line a lot better.
Without being over critical i think the platform light for vaders hologram could be a little more white but i watched it on my phone as i am away at the moment.
And somone on facebook i thought made a good point about Dak and when we cut to luke there is no smoke behind him or any continuing sparks or tail end of sparks.
But Yeah it is massive improvement
The newly added AT-ST's furthermore look impressive! And funny how I never noticed in the recent passing shots of Dak in the back seeing continual AT-AT's as they keep passing them in almost every shot. Awesome to have that corrected - cheers! :)
“Did you know, the word ‘gullible’ is not in the dictionary?! Look it up.”
through VHS, DVD and now BD it's also easier to find "mistakes" and bloopers that got away in the cutting room ...
too bad that other "good stuff" was cast aside - seeing the prequels as they are and what "bonus material" was on them discs :-/
I think the nicest surprise in that clip is putting in the 2 speeders that swing in front of veers AT-AT windows in the previous shot it really binds the sequence together.
Really a top job I think has been done.... I guess ady means these will be real models filmed for these 2 speeders but I thought they look good anyway.
Looking great as usual ! :)
By the way I watched ESB recently (the theatrical DVD that Ady released for the 30th anniversary) and during the battle of Hoth I noticed something which always bothered me and I it still in the clips Ady gave us. I'm talking about that woman :
Am I the only one to get the feeling that she doesn't know what she's doing here ? When I see her doing that all I can imagine her think is : "So when am I supposed to say 'yay' again? I'll just look at those guys and do it when they do... Oh here they're doing it."
Anybody else?
She's just in the middle of doing something.

Never noticed that in the 30 years of watching the film. But guess whT I'll notice for the next 30 years. Cheers!!!
Awesome video clip Ady, it's amazing how well it's taking shape, thank you! Besides some continuity error fixes, I enjoyed seeing a few additional details that worked to 'enhance' the action, such as some extra snowspeeders flying/crashing in some shots. Needless to say, the AT-STs looked great :) Everything with and around Vader's hologram appeared perfect to me too.
On the audio side of things (when it comes time for working on that more later), it did make perfect sense to change Luke's original "Steady Rogue TWO" to be "THREE" instead, but I'm agreeing with Tack, will his tone on the word "THREE" be edited so it can sound more similar to how he said "TWO" originally? As it is, it doesn't quite fit in, but almost.
Something else that stands out to me as a continuity error is the incorrect engine hum of Wedge's snowspeeder at the instant when you hear Luke say over the radio "I'll cover for you". There it's Luke's lower-pitched engine hum when instead it should be Wedge's higher-pitched engine hum. Just wanted to mention it so it could be checked out :) Btw, I liked the new background better at this part too, but I wonder if the replaced background could possibly be salvaged (so it's not totally lost) and be used somewhere else, like when the soldiers are fleeing the AT-ATs towards the end?
Thank you again Ady :)
Great work Ady, as usual subtle and well done, i like when the ATST shot right to the camera. Thank you for sharing this "brief" masterpiece.

Is there a downloadable link? Facebook video plays very erratic on my PC (even when the vid is fully loaded).

Could there be a visual comparison made for the new clip, please?
Saw the clip Ady, great job! Noticed lots of new changes. The Steady Rogue Three line has improved alot, but still the delivery of the "three" is still a little off. Just a suggestion, why not just change scene to wedge while that line is delivered. Just let luke be heard while we see wedge instead of showing luke say it, and you can make make the audio sound more like it's coming from a speaker.
Just a suggestion.

I can never keep track of these things, but who IS Rogue 2? And is it conceivable that he could be there (or added there) if the new line can't be made to work for whatever reason?
Isn't Rogue 2 the guy who found Luke and Han with the Tauntaun?!
“Did you know, the word ‘gullible’ is not in the dictionary?! Look it up.”
Yeah. Han sets up camp for the night. All we see of the camp is what I guess is a beacon. Always wondered how Han kept alive.
Han tells Luke that he's sticking him in the Tauntaun to keep him warm until he can build the shelter. I figure the mound of snow we see in front of the beacon is the tent that was snowed over during the night. There's a whole scene that takes place inside the shelter in the radio play.

the pilot list is somewhere down the link:

The Rogues got a long history of their own - Luke founded them and Wedge took over from there ...
