In ESB it is flesh colored and more badly scarred in texture. In ROTJ, it's very pale (with obvious powdered makeup) and appears to be smoother in more areas.
Unless Ady already had something else in mind, I think it'd look good to have it be a tiny bit more pale in ESB, then match this coloring for ROTJ, along with some more added wrinkles/scarring in certain areas around his head. And yes, I'm in the boat who liked seeing his eye brows removed and eyes blue :)
The skin of ROTJ's Anakin has only been pale since the DVD version (where they also removed his eyebrows and changed his eye's color). I'm pretty sure Adywan's planned to restore the pre-DVD Anakin, including removing Christensen's ghost.
Maybe it was the harsh Death Star lighting making him look pale and powdery?

Wow.....aalenfae....went through a bunch of your videos. You seem to really understand what would make the PT better. You've made some very subtle changes that make a world of difference. Very impressive.
Ah my favorite page. Took years to get to page 1138. I'm surprised Ady hasn't posted on this page simply because of it's significance.

Wow +1. I can't believe I never saw that until now. If Hayden's performance could ever be redeemed in the prequels (though my preference would be an entirely new actor in the prequels - I can dream can't I?!) then I'd love to see this as an option in revisited via a branching disk!

aalenfae certainly has all sorts of clever ideas for improving or eliminating much of the bad clutter in the PT, helping the PT tie in better with the established OT. I'd hope to see more of his ideas and edited clips in the future. He would be a great asset [for the PT:Revisited] - Can it be done??

To be fair, I WAS just joking. It's Shaw's ghost.....already decided, ages ago. But if you want MY opinion on the best way to end ROTJ....it would be to have Luke see the ghosts at the funeral pyre instead of at the party. They smile at him, fade away, and then Han & Leia come looking for Luke....no dialogue, the music does the talking, but we clearly see that Luke tells them he has to go, and can't join them at the party, they shake hands/hug....he walks over to his X-Wing and Han & Leia go back to the party and the films ends as it does now.
I think this would have strengthened the idea that the "Returning Jedi" wasn't Luke....but THE JEDI....the order, not the individual....and Luke is off to go make that happen. Unfortunately I think Lucas had had his fill and wanted a nice unambiguous ending.

Why not have no ghosts at all?
There is nothing saying that you couldn't edit it so you start at the party, Leia goes to look for Luke, cut away with her looking pensive, cut to Luke roasting Vader's body and camera moves up to show the X-wings dropping fireworks... but instead of the shot stopping, it continues to pan up and move towards the stars, where you then edit/fade/montage into the galaxy celebration scenes.

There is much better unnatural ways to redeem vader that would have more emotional impact i think.
It's sentimental to see anakin/vader become a good guy ghost.
But what if he actually used the dark side to do something with far more impact.
sith force ghosts nah i don't think we see the emperor or maul as ghosts. Vader did not become a jedi all of a sudden. I think there is a better way to handle vaders redemption.
The idea of Luke NOT joining up with the rest of the friends/rebels/alliance opens an interesting space for a possible future edit of episode VII ;-)
He would have taken the same path as old Ben maybe to learn in solistice (again), finding new recruits and rebuilding the Jedi order ... or ?
And on the other hand we would have the Galaxy still in turmoil (Rebel-) Alliance against the (remains of the) Empire - but what "secrets" could the former "Galactic" Empire hold ? (not to step unto more EU territory)
Well, too bad so many things what could have been and too few that really were (like the PTs) ...
As for the force ghosts - Ben & Yoda should stay as "old friends" Luke left behind (party or not) - Anakin finally released as spirit at his "funeral" is a nice touch, not sure if not better to show Shaw version though
I have had an idea of how to perhaps improve the prequal trilogy.
What if it was cell shaded like a scanner darkly or ralph baski's lord of the rings.
I think this could perhaps lend to it a unique style whilst making the actual footage which is cartoon like an actual cartoon.
It could also make it easirr to change it far more radically while bolstering bad performances in a cartoon setting.
I think this could go in it's favour

Sorry but even in that clip Hayden still looks too creepy.
He looks he is giving a coquettish response to being asked on a date.
Luke has too many romantic family confusions going on as it is.
It proves quite brilliantly that the ghost could be inserted into the pyre scene though (just not that footage).
I think adding Anakin's Force-Ghost to the pyre scene waters down the emotion and meaning that was there.....shouldn't this subject be in another thread anyway

Personally, I say get rid of Hayden and leave the rest of the force ghost sequence as is. I think it demonstrates the fact that Vader has had a change of heart and spirit in the destruction of the Emperor and that order has been restored to the force, joining the old allies Yoda, Obi-Wan, and Anakin.
