Muddyknees2000, I had seen a video on youtube where ady was trying to make the movement of the AT-AT smoother and a bit faster like their counterparts in the PT, will that be the case, that is if you can share that answer? also is there anywhere i could watch the clips that were posted/removed from youtube anywhere else? thanks!

I don't have that specific answer, and the videos that were removed aren't posted anywhere else to my knowledge, unless someone ripped them and re-posted elsewhere.....but they'd be all long out of date by now anyways.

No shit

You should just change your user title to this.

If you're not going to use Geeza, that is.

What number of changes we on now doubleofive (without joking please) or rough guestimation on your last count?
Impossible to say. Thankfully I think Adywan will be doing the official Visual Comparison again, which is great as I won't have to try to figure out what changed frame-by-frame (which we had to do with the Special Edition VCs since ILM never replied to my emails). Scanning the list I'm sure there are a few things that aren't on there, but I can say that most of it is covered by the list.

If I had to guess a number, it might be this.

What's the largest number you can think of?

Ha :) I never thought about it like that and would obviously put you in a bit of an awkward position....

Well 208 changes still does not come close to actual changes when you break it down shot by shot or frame by frame.

But thanks for the answer that you have given

I was watching this clip

When we are shown the Cloud city shot the cloud car flying through Cloud city... We can clearly hear the musical score was a special edition addition because of the music the score that is used feels a bit tacked on.

Now some may think the music that was used in this scene is perfect.

I myself feel it was just a piece of music that got used perhaps without cloud city in mind as we are hearing lukes theme while a cloud car flys through cloud city.

I am just wondering if there is any plans to re-score this scene and try to improve the scene using score from the cloud city score or something else.

I think the music in this fly through could be improved that is all. And it sticks out a bit as not up to the same heights much of the other scored visuals get.

I'd be all for keeping the score from the OUT scenes and bridging it with something else on the Cloud city Matte and fly through.

Perhaps the small harp piece from 1.50

I did a rough mock up

http://www.mediafire.com/watch/qf819hrqlnb7ahz/Fly_through_mock_up.mp4

I think it sounds a bit more foreboding like this but without sounding like this is how I want it to be... I just think that it would not be hard to improve this small music section that is all.

Sorry the special edition score added to the fly through sounds a bit whimsy..

The mock-up I did sounds a bit more foreboding and draws more attention to Leia pacing up and down by the window.

But I think it would be quite easy to make an improvement on this special edition scoring that was added in 2004 DVD or Special Edition Version.

However music is personal taste so I thought I would throw this idea out there that I think the music could be improved on the fly through using this example or other John Williams scoring.

The sound is the last bit to be cemented in, most of the previews have temporary soundtracks.

A thing I'd love to see would be a full length side-by-side comparison of ESB:R and an edit of the visually unaltered Blu-Ray like Adywan does in the brief comparison clips.

If Adywan didn't want to do this I'm sure someone would make one (I would for one) but a seemlessly synched version would be easier to render from the original source. A perfectly synched frame-by-frame version would be much more difficult for a third party to achieve.

I think it would be a fascinating viewing experience showcasing all the wonderful work on this project.

Yeah, that would be an awesome special feature to find on the Blu Ray.

Ronster, I think you're on to something with that music. It'll make the shot blend in more with the rest of the scene. I've personally found it a bit of a wierd addition to begin with, but I can see the appeal in keeping it. If it's done your way, I mean.

I’m just here because I’m driving tonight.

Walking to dinner, Lando says "...a danger, BUT it looms...." Would "...a danger, AND it looms...." work slightly better?

I too have always wondered about that one...

It sounds like Billy Dee is trying to lever a mention of boobs and buns into a family movie.

If it can be done it gets my vote.

I suppose you could drop the conjunction altogether and just go with, "...a danger, It looms..." if you can't get an authentic sounding, "and".

Not that it's a democracy or anything.

I reckon Lucas just slipped that line in to trail his forthcoming computer game... a decade too early.

During the scene where Han and co. are trying to escape from Vader, the part where Leia tells Han "Should I get out and push", C3P0 comes running in calling Han "Captain Turner, Captain Turner" has this been fixed?

There is nothing to fix. He is clearly saying "Captain Solo"

This is the part inside the Hoth rebel base, when Han is having difficulty starting the Falcon and Vader with his troops are approaching the ship (around minute 34-35 into the movie). Maybe I'm just hearing things, could anyone check it out and see if its just me?
