But not as the internet meme would say...Game Of Thrones disturbing.

I don't really get the issues surrounding the luke and leia relationship. They didn't know they were related, people have done worse things than just kiss whilst being related without prior knowledge.

I'd advocate editing the kiss scene, so that the actual kiss only lasts as short as it can. So that it's more of a peck than a romantic thing. But not any more changes to their relationship.

The Padme/little Anakin thing is weirder.

so much agree

The Padme/Child Killer Romance thing was pretty out there too.

Lucas must be very unlucky in love.

You've missed the point of the kiss. It's long to make Han jealous. Making it shorter takes away the purpose of the kiss.

With all the myriad of species in the Star Wars universe the humans in that setting may not even have an incest taboo.

If the royalty of Naboo is anything like that of Europe in the 17 & 1800's there certainly would have be a lot of....er......close relationships.

The royalty of Naboo is elected, which makes it quite unlike any royalty from European history.

Norway has an elected Monarchy, but I think they only elect from the Gentry

As I keep reminding people the monarchy in Transylvania were elected for centuries, admittedly from a short list of nobles by cabal of nobles but they were elected none the less.

jeez bingo, enough with the monarchy of transylvania again!

This! Leia was never after Luke. Only Han. It's all there in the films.

my awful and incredibly rough explosion concept converting DS1 to DS2:

Author

so if the DSII is actually the husk of DSI, could the endor moon actually be yavin IV?

it might make sense that it is stuck in orbit there. if the rebel strike was actually another target, the big twist could actually be that the metal beast is still alive.

This is a cool idea. Very cool.

Remember that the Empire has been repairing for 3 years or so, so the explosion could have been more destructive than that.

Love the idea by the way. Would emphasize that the victory in ANH is a temporary one, and it would make ROTJ seem less of a retread.

The original weapons dish could have been totally destroyed.

That way the rebels would assume the station was no longer a danger and just leave it there when they abandoned the Yavin base.

We could see the 'wreck' from the opposite side until Palps announces that it's fully armed and then station could rotate showing off it's new weapon.

Or the old broken dish could be presented to the camera but the Empire has fitted a new dish on the other side (this would also serve to make it look different).

Another point about the RotJ battle:

We all have problems with the ewoks, and how a whole batallion of the so called elite troops of the emperor simply break rank and run when attacked by rocks and bows.

I am watching it at the moment and I was struck with an idea: Chewbacca takes over an at-st in the middle of the battle. What if that scene is placed near the beginning? The scene of them taking it is quite seperate from other events, so there would be no chronological issue there.

It would explain the way the troops just run off like that. They are taking cover before it fires at them.

And I also support the idea of the Death Star wreck. I always thought that the complete desintegration of the original ds was kinda overdone anyhow.

The real problem I have is we don't see a legion of elite troops.

The shield bunker is pretty big and very important so the troops we see are consistent with the sort of force that would protect it anyway.

It shouldn't be a surprise to see that number of troops at that location and the rebels would have surely have taken that into account when they landed.

If the 'legion' was a second wave of troops with more walkers and bombers etc and they were taken out by something else that would make the ground battle make sense.

I don't have a problem having the Imperial troops taken out by Ewoks.

It's the slapstick comedy Ewoks with human eyes (even after the latest attempt to paint over them by George) who inexplicably lay traps in the way of troops that are meant to secret under their gaze in a matter of minutes.

The presence of the Ewoks, their unfamiliarity with the Rebels, the Rebels' unfamiliarity with the Ewoks, and the Rebels' general unfamiliarity with the terrain make this idea problematic.

The Rebel base could have been on another continent.

It's a planet sized moon and they weren't there for that long.
