I would keep it until after the PT:R myself.

You never know when a new idea might generate the need for something special like that.

It might even be needed for AR:SE.

Pretty Amazing that Mark Hamil has let the project know he has an eye on what is going on... Also that he thinks the prop really looks like what he used.

To think that people who were in the movie original would watch the revisited version is testament to where it is and what a service it has done so far with a new hope revisited.

I'd say it deserves a congratualtions... :)

really good

He wasn't commenting on the prop. The guy who was standing in for Luke in the 2nd unit knows Mark Hamill (and Harrison for that matter) and he told him about Revisited and  that we were inserting a shot of Luke where he should be seen as the AT-AT topples over after Luke blows it up and he commented that it was brilliant and joked that he had always wondered where he had disappeared to.

I think it would be nice to see heavy war rifles in Endor. Like the one Han uses in the DS in ANH, which was taken as a model for all the PT clonetrooper guns.

Might not be a need for interior corridors of the DS where the Empire is clearly in numeric advantage, same applies to Bespin, but i think they would be logical in Endor. Actually it's not that much a size issue but a weird thing nowadays to see that strange shooting pose from the sixties and seventies. Shooting from the waist was cool for spies and cowboys, but not for a trained army.

Ah sorry I was confused by Macs comment... Nevertheless it's still great they know about it now and will hopefully give it a watch lol...

Although that shot is important where Luke disappears the next shot where he is lying face down and looks up with the mini AT-ST the same height as his head and bad background is even worse... That's being altered too so this will have so much more impact together. Double whammy on that one!

RE: Shooting stance.

These are aliens, shooting guns beyond our ability to manufacture and they are from the distant past of a fictional galaxy.

Cut them some slack.

I just have to say that that the shot where tiny Luke now gets up and runs away is my favorite shot of anything ever.

lol can't wait to see it!

I am making loads of mistakes today.. That shot I mentioned comes before this new shot... I watched the clip on you tube is there 2 shots of tiny luke or just the one? because there are 2 shots of the AT-AT blowing up.

Although this being an edit it could be different nevermind don't answer it....I don't want it ruined.

A teaser trailer for ROTJ:R would be more welcome (if you know what I mean) ;-D

Cool, I so badly want to see a peak at the rest of the saga.  I find it funny, I get more excited about the Revisited saga then the idea of the new films.

As soon as i have finished the video side of things for ESB:R i will be working on a trailer for the Revisited saga. I want to get ESB:R out of the way first before i think about anything else

When finished with ESB:R, were you also thinking of updating your current ESBR Extended Trailer one last time to accommodate the fully completed footage (AT-ATs now with AT-STs clip, etc), and adding this as a bonus feature?

I must say I am also looking forward to your Revisited Saga Trailer in the future :)

Hey Ady, is the new Wampa puppet the last thing you're doing in the video portion of ESB:R? Have you started to build it yet?

Me as well. I guess in a logical way of thinking, I'm more excited knowing  the movies are in good hands with Ady. While I respect JJ Abrams and absolutely love Kasdan, I don't see them as being entirely flawless. In the end, I want Star Wars to be Star Wars, but still be their own. I don't want him to go all Super 8 on it, and force nostalgia to work, it should be natural.

I'm not really worried, because I'll probably always consider Star Wars a trilogy. In the back of my mind I'm hoping that will be changed either by what Ady does with the prequels, or Kasdan and Abrams do with the new trilogy. I don't hate the prequels, not at all, they are a hell of a lot more enjoyable if you just take them for what they are, even though the politics gets boring at times. Sorry, I start to ramble when I've had to many vodka gimletsss.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Has anyone thought about sound effects before? I mean, the immersive elements of film are really visuals and the sound that goes with it. Not the music, because only the sound effects are tied to the visuals on screen.

I know that in many ways the old sound effects define the starwars experience, but I believe that the movie can come across as much more realistic and a far more effective experience if some outdated sound effects were removed, and new ones were added in.

I see it as possibly being the difference between dvd and blu-ray sound quality, in some respects. I was never very excited about blu ray, but then I watched my first blu-ray movie, that being Saving Private Ryan. So immediatly I was gripped by the amazing realism of the sound in the opening scenes. The explosions, and especially gun fire. As though someone really was firing a weapon.

Or perhaps I've gone on a useless tangent, and Adywan already did some work sound wise? I've seen revisited, and I don't believe that was the case but I might be wrong. Anyhow, it's something I feel could be looked into, and is a great tool to enhance the experience.

ANH:R had plenty of sound work, it's 5.1 mix totally beat all the bluray SW mixes to shreds, and considering how much more talent, experience, and knowledge Ady has gained since then, I don't feel like his new sound mix will be any disappointment.

To me, the sound is just as important as the visuals.

I will also have to agree.

On the sound front I've suggested that Slave1 have the PT sound as they actually gave it an auditory signature as opposed to it sounding like just any generic ship.....and it sounded good to my ears.
