I'm all for seeing a battle droid. But... I think Ady already did something like that in the sandcrawler in ANH.

The Clone Wars would have been over for over 20 years by the time of the Empire Strikes Back. Why would they just barely be getting around to smelting things from that era? It made sense that the Jawas might have found the remains of one out in the desert after that amount of time. But not so for a floating gas mining colony in the middle of nowhere.

No. For me Pit Droids have sooo much negative baggage with them, I don't want to see them anymore than I have to. Just reminds me of them being sucked into Quadrinaros' engine, re-enacting the 3 stooges on the pit lane and worst of all, clowning around with Jar-Jar in Watto's shop.
PT Battle Droids kick ass IMO, but not Pit Droids... never Pit Droids.

I would prefer the "3 Stooges" over "Jedi Rocks" ;-)
well my idea was to add them to the "torture chamber", it would be like the sandcrawler or melting-room scene ...

While it seems that people here generally get more roused by visual suggestion for revisited... I have been looking into the audio differences and i think I have spotted a few things it seems that Audio does get skimmed over when it comes up for discussion...
Anyway when CSP0 get's blasted by a storm trooper off screen...
I wonder if the original or special edition dialogue will be used... But the main point i wanted to raise was it actually does not sound like a storm trooper...
I am not asking for any changes to this but if it were to sound like the stormtrooper radio helmet would this be an improvement for continuity or ruin ambiguity...

How does it not sound like a Stormtrooper? Couldn't he just have his helmet off?

I would prefer to believe they are more dangerous with full armour on.... Actually this is the only moment where a stormtrooper is remotely dangerous yet we don't see anything and it does not sound like a stormtrooper.
But C3PO tells us when chewie repairs him
Thinking about it..... Is there actually any storm trooper lines in empire?
It is something that seperates it quite a lot from star wars a new hope where troopers although faceless I miss that sound of the stormtroopers dialogue... If some could be added I think it might work very well especially cloud city and hoth... Although not in excess more of a token effort than trying to add in dialogue that simply does not exist but it is something missing with empire.
When i say token dialogue... Without feeling cheap but the audio was actually the only factor that made storm troopers characters to add a "sir" or "blast them" might be enough at least to connect the dots to their previous incarnation.
A small touch but a big difference it would be

I think it is most likely an officer with storm troopers....
Anyway i am ok with that line but as i said... Perhaps a word in storm trooper sound effect like "move" when they have leia and chewie captive or "approaching docking bay area" when they are escorting boba and han in carbonite while luke spys.
Like i said it is small touchez but the only storm trooper libe i can think of is the AT-AT pilot
