I don't get this. Why would you watch the movies out of order? To get maximum enjoyment from the plot, here's the breakdown:

1. The Sixth Sense

2. Akira

3. Howl's Moving Castle

4. Star Wars

5. Empire

6. Jedi

This way the story makes total sense.

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

I owe it to my 12 year old self, Frink. He still goes nuts every time Yoda pulls out the lightsaber and starts flipping around.

RotS (though L8's Dawn of the Empire more specifically) tied things together and I always get a calm, complete feeling after I'm done watching it.

ANH

RotJ - Better sense of comradery, easy to relax and watch, while Empire requires more focus.

TPM - Can't stay awake through this.

No disrespect Nightstalkerpoet, but did anyone else on this forum feel, after seeing Yoda flip around off the walls and stuff, a slight tinge of sadness that this noble and wisened old sage we'd come to revere had been turned into a midget green ninja from some obscure video game?...no?..Just me then (shrug)

Yoda's lightsabre fighting in PT is indeed stupid. Makes him look like some pathetic annoying little dog barking and running around your leg.

I didn't have a problem with Yoda having a saber battle......but the growling/yelling/whatever was silly and awkward.

....And both saber battles, Ani vs. Dooku and Yoda vs. Dooku, were pathetically short.

For me, IF Yoda was to have a sabre duel, it should've been reserved for Sidious. Then, and only then, should we have seen Yoda wield his 'little' lightsabre. And no ridiculous jumping and flipping like he's on some ultra strength cocaine or something! And WHY did he throw the towel in so quickly? I mean..(no, I've already debated this elsewhere don't waste your breath)

Foe me, it would be a tie between ANH and ESB at the top, ROTJ a close third, TPM a more distant fourth, and AOTC and ROTS tied for the worst movie ever.

I love Willow.

Although it's yet another testament to how unoriginal Lucas is, since it very obviously takes quite a lot from The Lord of the Rings.

The thread title says to list your favorites, so I think you are safe amending your list to lop off the last three.

Find me a fantasy film that doesn't rip of Lord of the Rings to some extent. That said, I think George ripped himself off, as nearly every character is a fantasy equivalent of a Star Wars character.

Everything is a ripoff of something else. Hell, Hamlet wasn't even an original creation of Shakespeare's - his play was inspired by earlier works.
