These are two new types of T.V.s that will be out this year. What do you think?
One day we will have properly restored versions of the Original Unaltered Trilogy (OUT); or 1977, 1980, 1983 Theatrical released versions (Like 4K77,4K80 and 4K83); including Prequels. So that future generations can enjoy these historic films that changed cinema forever.

They're equally meh.
Here's my attempt at a serious response.
Don't these electronic companies realise that we are still in a global economic crisis?
Is now really the time to introduce a new gadget war leading to more personal debt which will ultimately manifest as national and international debt?
My cousin is one of those people who enjoys sitting in front of the the most up to date telescreen that Ingsoc can provide. He might be able to notice a bit more resolution on an 80 inch screen oh his 70 inch wall but almost everyone else will not notice the difference between 1080p and four times that (I hardly notice the difference between 1080p and 780p).
OLEDs mean you can have this :
If you are rich enough.
Nice I suppose but seeing as most HDTVs have a good decade of life in them why introduce this gimmick now?
Why not introduce it when the economies of the world are getting back on there feet and looking for something new to spend the little bit of money they have to lift the gloom of austerity from their lives?
Five years from now I can see people wanting a concave telly and being willing enough to throw out their perfectly functional flat screens in much the same way they did when convex televisions became too silly to exist.
But not now.
Please Moth3r and Jay if you can just combine bot 4k oled t.v. threats. and do them by time and date posted for the comments. Thank you.

So you're a bot?
...
And the fact that you used "threat" again confirms my suspicion that you have been posting the way you post on purpose, and thus are an amazingly sophisticated troll...and I say that as the highest of compliments.
...or he doesn't re-read what he posts.

EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE, NOTHING IS TRUE.
Or is that the other way 'round? Can't remember.

END OF LINE
(It hasn’t happened yet)
I think 4k is rather pointless for any display that fits in your average living room. Blu-ray's image quality is appreciably perfect. And "HD" broadcasting is a joke. It's just another number they can make higher instead of actually improving the display.
As for OLED, I'm quite excited. LCD is a piece of shit. It's not exactly laser TV but it's pretty damn good.
But why on Earth curve a display that doesn't have viewing angle problems???
I believe the curve has nothing to do with viewing angles but more to do with an attempt to create a more immersive viewing experience e.g.

Well a curve is a distortion unless the image is corrected for the curve, so I don't see how it's more immersive.
Immersive as in it surrounds you. Not that it really does, but that's what it's meant to feel like.
The curved OLED TV is just 16:9, it's not nearly big or wide enough to "surround" you. Ergo the curve can not be for such a purpose.
If it's big enough it can.
I saw the How The West Was Won Blu-Ray Cinerama reconstruction and the sense of being in the scene even as a curved image on a flat screen was remarkable.
I wouldn't pay to have one though, I don't have the room for a large flat screen let alone a large curved one.

You're not much for reading, are you?
OLEDs have other uses.
For example this accident waiting to happen, the back of a car screensaver (for a screen you never knew you needed).
