Just so we're clear, there will be no other color changes than those shown. There will be no change to the over-all coloring, just a few select shots.
I and many others were very pleased with 2.0 :) 2.1 only came about because Harmy is a perfectionist, people should be glad he is sharing his work.
I'm glad Harmy has decided to tweak the colors for the duel. The random green was really one of my few issues with version 2.0.

So, I was yesterday watching the blue rays of the original trilogy at my friend, (hell, he actually bought it, what a waste of money!) and I absolutely hated it to a point I was furious! So I went home and did research about an existing edition of the unchanged editions and found this forum! AND THANK GOD I DID! Harmy you ware the f*****g best!!! i LOVE YOU (sorry ;)
I just have one problem. i have read through the forum, a bit to find a way to download all the newest versions of the despecialized editions, but haven't found a working link. I have tried myspleen, but unfortunately i don't have the login data. Can somebody maybe send me a pm with a login and password, so i can download the files?
I would be beyond grateful! I told my girlfirned that we will watch the original Star Wars trilogy together (since she has never seen them, oh dear lol), but I will NOT poison her mind with the ridiculous blu rays or any other GL-raped editions. I want the real thing! ;)

Firstly, thank you for this AWESOME preservation. I was just bemoaning recently that I had no access to certain original aspects of the films. This project simply sounds like a godsend to us lifelong fans.
I have a few questions which hopefully aren't stupid: I notice on myspleen that it seems to be version 1.0 available. Is this the "remastered" version? I guess I'm unclear as to how many versions there have been. In reading his thread I hear mentions of 2.0 and 2.1. Is this thread the best place to watch to find out when those are "released"? Once they are, then they will be on myspleen?
Again, apologies for my newb-ness. I'm still googling and reading through the plethora of material here! Thanks!
V. 1.0 is the first version. V. 2.0 is the "remastered" version and is miles ahead of the first effort. V. 2.1 will be released soon with a few fixes from 2.0 and bluray menus.

And the latest version on spleen should be v2.0 for SW and v1.0 for ESB and ROTJ.
That was part of what caused my confusion. When I did a search for "despecialized" on myspleen, I only saw 1.0 for SW and ROTJ, and there were two versions of ESB, and neither stated the version.
But I figured I've waited this long, may as well wait for 2.1!

It would be great if there was a way to only get notifications about significant progress or updates. As in, an e-mail when ver. 2.1 is done, when the blu-ray menus are ready, etc.
It can be a little time consuming to have to check back through the forums to find the significant updates. Is there a way to do this?

Frink is handling this for everyone, just send him your email and he'll give you constant updates. I encourage everyone to send Frink these requests, or even just any old random thing. The important thing is to send him as many messages as possible.

One day we will have properly restored versions of the Original Unaltered Trilogy (OUT); or 1977, 1980, 1983 Theatrical released versions (Like 4K77,4K80 and 4K83); including Prequels. So that future generations can enjoy these historic films that changed cinema forever.

I've been a long time reader of these forum and once in a blue moon I've chimed in,also I by no means am any expert in the Tech Talk that you guy's(and ladies) have much more knowledge about. This comment is very similar to the one posted above,about the quality of the OT Trilogies on Blu. I bought the PT on blu first because I wanted to see if the blu ray technology really complimented the Digital photography done on these films and yes I think it does. Love ,Like or Hate the Prequels aside,they look good on blu ray. I bought the OT blu ray set a while after they were released even though I said I would'nt and that was mostly because of IMO the sacrilege of Vader screaming "NO" in ROTJ. I won't elaborate more on that cause it's been done ad nauseum. I really just considered Harmy's work and Adywan's edits as the one's to go to If I ever want to throw in the OT to watch. To get to my point, I watched the blu ray "a new hope" the other night,well some of it,and I was so underwhelmed by the overall PQ. The movie seemed less alive and dim for some reason? I took it out and put in Harmy's Despecialized version,be it V.1,V.2 ,,,whatever,cause to me his work always seems excellent. Right for the moment "STAR WARS" appeared and receded into the starfield,I knew I was again back in that big theater from 1977 watching what would become the cinematic loves of my life. The stars were brighter,the droids were shinier and Vader was darker. Thank you,Harmy ,sir...from the bottom of my heart.
