I dont know if this was discussed during my hiatus, but DARN this is awesome. A full cast audio drama they did live at Celebration VI, now released as a cleaned up audio file.

Great story. Set right after Star Wars, it's a great fun Han and Chewie adventure, like it's taken right out of my childhood imagination.

The tool on Forcecast said he and the writer of this have been petitioning for a radio drama of the PT, and this is there first success on that field. Lets hope so.

If you got a 1/2 hour, you need to listen to this. If you like the OT, do it! If you like the radio dramas, do it! If you love freedom, do it!

I listened to this a couple days ago.

I loved it. So good to hear that kind of classic format, and the OT (and the script) really lends itself to the format. Very cool (or should I say Wizard?).

Is there anyone else who loves Sam Witwer? The guy always gives 110%, and you can tell he loves what he's doing. An awesome guy.

My one complaint, however... Daniel Logan. Ugh. Ugh. I can't "ugh" enough. He sounded terrible. I'm sorry, but Temuera Morrison was enough of a stretch for Boba, but I can't take Logan. His performance was just bloody awful. He had way too many lines, as well. Ugh. I never want to hear him do Boba's voice ever again.

I can barely put up with it for The Clone Wars, but this took the cake.

Keep Circulating the Tapes.

I didn't recognize Witwer's voice, but was thinking "this guy is a great voice actor, so much character."

And IIIICK. To put it simply, I would rather not hear Daniel Logan voice Boba Fett again either.

I was a bit leery in the beginning but I enjoyed it. I'm hoping that the popularity of this might raise awareness of the long forgotten fan audio dramatization community. A lot of it is.....rough but once in a while you'll find a hidden gem. Where else can you find Jaxxon still getting work? =P Sadly a lot of the older ones are disappearing.

Just finished listening to it. Very good.

Boba Fett was pretty bad, but Han nailed it. I just wish that there weren't so many nods to his subsequent lines from Empire.

This, and the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy radio dramas have gotten me thinking; has anyone done a radio drama of a prequel rewrite? I've got what I think is a rather unique idea for one.

Anyway, really good for a live read!

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

Yeah, Han was about perfect.

And you bring up a good point that I had also noticed and had got me thinking while listening to it: there's WAY too much reuse of OT lines in Star Wars stuff. The EU and whatnot. Way too much of that going on.

There are two great PT Audio Plays available. "Labyrinth of Evil" and "Dark Lord". They contain all the original voices from the movies, as well as music and soundeffects. The only problem for 90% of the guys (and girls) here: it's in German. ;-)

The guy who did these is currently working on the "Thrawn-Trilogy". Three of four parts from "Heir To The Empire" are already available.

Damn Germans. How dare they have their own fandom in their own language. My grandpa didn't fly 52 bombing missions so that PT Audio Plays and Maniac Mansion fan games could be in Deutsh

So wait, did they get Hayden et al. to do the voices in German?

Actually, I found some more info. Okay, that makes sense. Ignore the previous.

What I meant was; did anyone in the fan community do a radio drama based on a rewrite of the prequels? Kind of specific, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is in the works somewhere.

My idea was to have a very young Anakin Skywalker be frozen in a hibernation pod on a pre-hyperspace ship for many decades, and to be revived by the Lars family and raised by them after the ship crashes on a distant world. His advanced form of hibernation sickness renders him blind, and he struggles to survive in the harsh Outer Rim Territories. Our story picks up when their planet is attacked by another planet in the same solar system, and a teenage Anakin must defy all odds to become a pilot despite his blindness, which lasts through the prequels.

How did he get frozen and why? Now we need prequels for our prequels and we're back where we started!

Yo dawg, I heard you liked prequels. So I put a prequel in your prequel so you can backstory while you backstory.

lol @ you guys...

It's a pre-hyperspace ship. Meaning from before there was hyperdrive. People were probably put into hibernation because the trip took so long, but Anakin was floating in space for far longer than he should have, so he has a particularly bad case of hibernation sickness. He doesn't have a memory of any time before that, as he was put there as a small child, and has been raised by the Lars family ever since. It's a mysterious beginning to his life, and one that can be explored throughout the prequels.

That's only one idea, of course. I chose the blindness angle because it seemed to fit well with the radio drama medium, and would give the audience and Anakin a point of similarity.

Besides, ANH raised many more questions than it answered, and the OT still holds up perfectly well with the audience imagining what came before.

I thought it was great and I think the reused lines were just a nod to the OT.

looking for HDTV of the  Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.  Also HDTV of The Lord of the Rings trilogy
