Stay on target...

I wonder what it would take to make a working one...

duuuude, being a mere lurker for years has definitely deprived me of many-a cool things. I want that "Stay on Target" thing.

I think 10 minutes with MS Paint and a color printer would do it.

“Grow up. These are my Disney's movies, not yours.”

There was a ranking system a long time ago that I believe was based on post count, and that was one of the ranks.  Some people just never bothered to change their user title once they were given the ability to do so.

Correct. Newbies started out as Padawans and you made Jedi master if you had enough posts. This often lead to superfluous postings merely to increase one's rank.

What we need is someone to hack a GPS unit, and have an animated X-Wing targeting display when you near your destination. ;)

That's more or less what I was thinking about.

Ah, I get it. Thanks for clearing that up. I thought that was a fairly random phrase for at least two or three users to have chosen!
My favorite part: SilverWook is still ready for the trials and he's the one who explained it!

Well if he earned the title, might as well keep it. On a horror forum I frequent I'm close to 1,000 posts and at that point you can customize your title.  How exciting!

Popularity of the Star Wars movies, according to twitter
I retweeted the OT with my personal and the SWR account, I'd like to think it helped.

sure is interesting to see AOTC come in last.  10 years ago, there was hype that SW was on a comeback.  and LightSaber yoda was probably the only pop-culture moment the PT had until 2005.

always had a feeling that AOTC would fade with time but I didn't think it would sink this low.

without soliciting feedback, my only theory is that the pathetic love story killed the movie for everyone.  and with 2 movies that wasted time, people reallly got mad at AOTC because there was no buffer room to build the characters.

The other thing thats interesting is how overwhelmingly fast it took the OT to get these retweets compared to the PT.  Its not even a contest.

I don't have twitter, but I assume that little kids during the time of the PT would make up a good bulk of twitter users.

click here if lack of OOT got you down

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

Hmm... 200ish retweets?  Doesn't seem very scientific*.

*However, I will accept your new Brak avatar as sufficient authority.

IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!

"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005

"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM

"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.
