They mean exactly what I meant them to mean - that on some frames there is a big (and on every frame, moderate) quality difference between HDTV and Blu-ray, so there is every justification for using the Blu-ray rip as the source of an edit, your impatience not withstanding.
You're mistaken on several other points, but we've gone too far off-target already, so you can have the last word if you want it (frame-based is the correct term, 756 pixels is based on the perceived resolution (70%) of full-frame field-based interlaced against progressive material, progressive wrapped in interlaced is fine, digital either works or doesn't, I was being facetious about Monster cables, all HD TVs must decode 720p, "720p is the preferred format for the broadcast...")

At the very least, it guarantees that Ming can send Ady tapes and Ady will be able to read them. I've cautioned Ming to go ahead and copy the tapes to a hard drive in case the tapes get lost on the way to Ady, as things tend to do.Ripplin said:

Nah. Just dropping in replacement footage. I think he had planned out that he might need to switch sources at one point.

Yeah, and since they're are the same master, the sources are pretty much pixel accurate, so it should in this case really be just switching the source file and re-rendering.
The source switch is already done and new things are already being done. This has not delayed the project at all.Sevb32 said:

Cue 10 people thanking Ady for all the hard work he's put in to deleting those files, just so he can be sure to do the best movie ever made (ESB, obvs) only after he's had sufficient practice on fixing a travesty worse than the Holocaust (the PT, of course).

I'm not saying the PT is worse than the Holocaust. I was parodying the extremes to which some people go when talking about the PT. If you've never witnessed some of what goes on in General Star Wars Discussion... well, you won't get the joke, but you're probably better of having never seen it.
The Holocaust was a terrible tragedy and an evil act, right up there in the "Worst 10 Things People Ever Did" list (no, I don't have this list). The Prequels are not good movies, but obviously nothing at all like killing millions of people. I'm not sure why anyone would think I meant that, but there it is anyway - an explanation.
Please note that I was also parodying how much people love ESB and the endless thanks that gets poured out here (not that's it's not deserved). My biggest mistake, really, was the idea that we'd actually get 10 posts on topic.

I just realized who you are (damned avatar changes!) and was coming back to say that I assume you're joking. It's just that I'm so sick of coming here and reading comparisons with GL/LFL and rape or the holocaust ect. that even when it's done mockingly it still annoys me.
