Somehow maybe i just figured this out but i think fink is a prequel gusher, no wonder he hates my prequel loathing.

Very Very interesting.

No he just worries you will run out of internet ink just before you have something equally important but new to say.

Nothing.  This is original trilogy dot com the originals are suppressed and destroyed, Lucas will never relent and the prequels will always be ruined movies they never will be good no matter who edits them.  They needed a good script and a good director to see that to come to pass.

Whats new in the star wars universe except Lucas further destroying star wars with the ruined movies in Blu ray even further wrecked and toyed with and then in 3-D.

Too much to ask for the real movies to be on a decent format and in a modern quality not laserdisc masters from 1993.

I should just cease to post and let my profile go bye bye.

The worst is come to pass the blu ray is already breaking sales figures and that ensures that the original movies will never be preserved and the negatives will be lost to time.

A once great man a destroyer of peoples childhood memories and a cultural icon of American history erased from film history systematically and on purpose.

I've only seen the 2004 versions, and I saw them in chronological order. Here are my opinions:

SW(ANH) - 8/10

ESB - 10/10

ROTJ - 2/10

TPM - 4/10

AOTC - 2/10

ROTS - 6/10

I honestly don't see why many of you guys actually liked ROTJ. In my opinion, it's just as bad as the prequels.

SW (ANH) - 7/10

TSWHS - 5/10

TESB - 7.4/10

ROTJ - 6.8/10

COC - *X/10

TBFE - X/10

TPM - 4.9/10

AOTC - 1.9/10

ROTS - 2/10

*I've rated Caravan of Courage and The Battle for Endor an "X" because I saw the former only once as a kid back in 1996 and never once saw The Battle for Endor; the "X" stands for "non-applicable" .

Aw, come on sky!

The prequels aren't something to worry about! They will be forgotten, and the OT will always be remembered, SE or not.

One perfect example is King Kong. Yeah, we might remember the 2005 film, but that's probably just because it's so recent. No one really remembers or pays any attention to Son of Kong, King Kong vs Godzilla, King Kong Escapes, the 1976 remake, or the sequel to the 1976 remake. Some people don't even know those exist!

There are many other examples, more than you could probably count.

My point is: The prequels will eventually fade into obscurity, along with maybe ROTJ, but SW and ESB will always be there.

I also think that one day the original cut of the films will be restored, just like what happened to Metropolis.

Just something to consider.

King Kong 05? That movie had giant penis polyps eating people. It should NEVER be forgotten.

Sort of both.  Someone finally rated using the ball rating system.  I fear what the spambots will do to us if we don't keep using it.

So then...out of 8 balls...

SW - 7 balls

ESB - 7 balls

ROTJ - 4 balls

TPM - 4 balls

AOTC - 2 balls

ROTC - 3 balls

TRM - 10 balls (projected)

Yeah, that's some serious PT gushing there.

I don't care that you bitch about the prequels.  I don't care that you bitch about the SEs.  I don't care that you bitch about KOTCS.  I don't care that you bitch about blah blah blah.

Sensing a pattern?  I care that you bitch about everything and you do the same bitching over and over.  You are the horse-murderer of the forum.

End of line.

No one would like the prequels if they saw them in Omnimax. Still makes me feel sick thinking about it.

OK well here's my ratings (based on the OP's rules).

TPM - 5

AOTC - 3

ROTS - 6

ANH - 6

TESB - 8

ROTJ - 7

I've watched all six films in a row (not on the same day of course, lol) and I have to say that none of them were "bad" so to speak, as I enjoyed all of them as part of the saga. AOTC was the worst IMO because at some parts I wasn't really into it, and it seemed a bit dull to me. The entire saga would still make sense if AOTC was just taken out, it didn't really add anything to the story (I guess the origin of the stormtroopers, but meh).

I gave ROTJ such a high rating because even though the majority of the film was mediocre, It contained my favorite scene in the whole saga, which is the final lightsaber duel between Luke and Darth Vader. I also like Palpatine in ROTJ. That lightsaber fight was the best of all of them (even though the duel in TPM was a close second). The score was brilliant, and the fight was just well executed.

Actual LOL!

Could it be that he's got some kind of light compulsive disorder or something? From a rational point of view, one would think that a forum so openly based around fighting for the OOT and bashing "Darth Lucas" along with his later work, would need just a tiny bit less of continuous religious reinforcement of the same obvious thoughts... but apparently not.

I'm in a choir, and I could do without the preaching parts. That doesn't make me a Satamist. Thanks.

I highly resent the term "prequel gusher."

I want the original versions of the trilogy to be released just as much as everyone else here but not everyone on this site loathes the prequels and that shouldn't be a prerequisite.

^I still do my fair share of bashing, but I certainly don't hate them by any means.

Unfortunatly, I don't think there is a such thing as a normal Star Wars fan anymore.  The fan community has become so subdivided since 1997 that it's hard to really say who the normal fans are anymore.

When you get on the internet it seems like everybody is either one extreme or the other, either they curse Lucas every chance they get or completely ride his dick and everyone else, who reside somewhere in the middle, kinda get lost in the fold because they aren't as loud.
