I saw Star Wars in 1977. Many, many, many times. For 3 years it was just Star Wars...period. I saw it in good theaters, cheap theaters and drive-ins with those clunky metal speakers you hang on your window. The screen and sound quality never subtracted from the excitement. I can watch the original cut right now, over 30 years later, on some beat up VHS tape and enjoy it. It's the story that makes this movie. Nothing? else.

I saw the other Wedge, Colin Higgins in an episode of Blake's 7 the other day.

Imagine, if he hadn't fluffed his lines Ewan might never have been an actor.

Was Lawson able to dub his own lines to lose the accent, or did someone else re-voice him?

Interesting to hear George doing Luke's lines off camera.

Where were you in '77?

Geez, Lawson wasn't too great with those lines...

At least he could remember them.

Yeah, I'm not giving him fair credit. I never take into consideration that movies take multiple... takes... to do.

Keep Circulating the Tapes.

I imagine that's what Colin Higgins thought about George :-D

There was a much more colourful interview with McGregor on the Graham Norton show last Friday.
